Killed it in the Village Elder 6* quest using a hammer with 1 minute left. Honestly it's easier than Shen Gaoren. With a Mega Demondrug, Power Seed and Striped Striker, it's only a matter of when it will die.

@Sensamur No. The weapon power is not equal to the damage it will deal. For example if you attack with a hammer with power 1000, every attack may deal 10 - 20 - 30 dmg, depending on what's your foe's level. In fact, if you use a power 1000 hammer on a boss of the easiest quests, you will deal even 50 -60- 100, because the proportion between your weapon power (1000) and the level of the boss is high. If you face an high rank boss, the same weapon may not be strong the same way.

@manoflols : well the truth is, teaching your cat any skill won't even help because you can't even bring your cats to this quest, lol. And if you can use a better greatsword like Brunhild or something with a raw power of 700-800. Red stripe won't be enough to repel him, let alone kill Lung.

I use Devil Slicer on my first battle and manage to repel him. Kill him later with Smolder Dragonsword. and oh, these two weapons are Long Swords

I finally killed Azure Lao Shan Lung. Onslaught Hammer and basic Azure Rathalos Armor was all I needed. :-) Though that Lao Shan Carapace is effing rare. I just need one more.

Lao only has 2400hp,thats less than almost any other elder dragon,but the thing is,his hp stops going down at 1240 until the last map,there you can own him with EVERYTHING :)

when i attacked him when i used hacks it said he had 2400 hp total and it stopped going down in the 1200's until the final area,where i owned him completely in 2 seconds,the hp hack says he has 2400 hp though

lao doesnt really attack you , he just kinda walk to the castle , you might get hurt if u stand where his foot goes but otehr then dat you good w/o getting hurt

its becouse the tigrex bow sucks when it comes to going through things, becouse it doesent have pierce, you wanna go with the dark bow || or the onslought hammer (anvil hammer works fine) but if you use the bow, stand by his side, and aim upwards so it goes through his side up into his back, should kill him or at least repel him.
