  • I just wonder in what way people see improvement in their grappling game from these exercises. Is it purely endurance/conditioning? Any direct benefit when executing technique?

Not being negative at all, just trying to learn and understand the end result of the effort I put in to anything I do. The exercises look fun and challenging. I am willing to give it a try for sure!

  • They are very versatile and seem really good for power training. I think I'm gonna try it.

  • I like it. There's so many thing you can do with your kettleball, "BRILL".

  • harasho Vadim

  • I have fallen in love with kettle bells they are so great , they are supper effective in getting the results you want plus they are so fun to do =D

  • nice routine

  • Shit this is nuts. How many exercises is that?

  • Hi Vadim I live in London and I go to mma gym but I really want to find a sambo club do you know any that are in London???????????????????????????????

  • I dont know about Sambo, but the Shaolin Temple in Tufnell Park teaches very high quality Sanda, (San Shou- Chinese Kickboxing) It incorporates punches, kicks, knees, catches, sweeps and throws... I've been training there for 10 years now under the instruction of Shaolin Masters Shifu Yanzi & Shifu Yan Lei, and i highly recommend you come down for a trial class! Look up shifu Yan lei on the web and you'll see what i mean! Hope this helps.

  • @missionkid hey did that gym open in finchley???

  • Wolf: true but I dont consider a barbell limited if you know how to use one. A balanced program should have both in it depending on the goals

  • Sure... That goes without saying... I'm not insulting any of it... A hundred years ago I had my 405 Bench press... I studied olympic style lifting when a clean and press were still done together. And now I keep my high rep yoga going with the kettlebells. It's all good to me... I' near 60 now... I can tell you it's all play... don't let it go... And don't limit yourself by what other think. We cannot forget the importance of PlayTime in our lives.

  • I love vids like this. To assume that any "one" way of using this excellent tool is to limit the tool. And isn't that the point of kettlebells??? That they are no where near as limiting as barbells. And vids like this show that "very" well.

I wanna see you do these with a barbell or any of the machines.

  • Is that a 16 kg kettlebell?

  • great!)

  • Hmm.. this video should be called ALL possible kettlebell moves ;) oh and in a fairly fast pace. Excellent.

  • When I do these exercises the kB slams into my forearm is that normal?

  • No, when you snatch the kettlebell or clean the kettlebell, the kettlebell should not slam into your wrist. I think Pavel has some articles out there on how to avoid slamming the kettlebell into your wrist. I think he called it taming the arc.

  • Nope. On lifts like the snatch, you punch (or spear) the hand through as the bell reaches near the top of the range. This prevents the bell from banging your wrist and it'll just slip into place.

For the clean, I prevent that by slightly pulling my elbows back at the top of the arc, almost like I'm starting a backwards elbow strike in martial arts, this will just pull the bell in out of the arc and the bell will just groove into place.

The hip snap is the most important part of both moves.

  • There's a video by Steve Cotter circulating on youtube. It's 7 minutes long... Teaches how to avoid banging into yourself with Cleans... and it all aplies.

  • very nice!

  • Great combos....good for hand/eye co-ordination!

  • awesome video!

  • very good I liked that.
