I don't hate myspace, but I think they need to fix some things before they release the final copy of MySpace 3.0. The thing is, if you don't like any the new features you can remove them. I removed the stream box from my profile and it loads really fast now.
I hate it so much.. and even more that i still need it!!! Band profiles and Business pages pay so much for top level designs and then they get forced to upgrade to the lamest scheme MS could make.. Its very uniform now and doesnt hold very much appeal.. Being able to use your own html and css was basically like having a free website that was connected to everyone!! Myspace shot themselves in the foot by changing it and are losing everyone and all their adds revenue.. its ruined! : (

The Stream and Blogs is where Myspace screwed themselves. Me and my girl on separate computers over the phone tried to scroll to the end of the Stream and after 30 minutes gave up. Anyone who does care about such minutia of inscrutable bullshit went to Facebook years ago. Nobody that stayed with Myspace wanted that shit!
And on the Blogs, have you seen how they neutered them? They're compulsively narrower, there are no replies to replies anymore preventing conversations, and its all in back-asswards reverse order now. Older blogs have had the comments deleted from them! Any clever alignment codes for pics and such now look like shit! Customizing your Blog or even seeing any stats on your blog is a thing of the past. You can't hide your subscriptions anymore or change who you are subscribed to! 3.0 BLOWS!! OMG!!

I ran a Scarface fansite over there for almost 4 years, and had accumulated over 5,000 people on my page. It was really fun, but after they started to force 3.0 and the new homepage, my friendlist dropped to a 4,200. I lost 800 people that fast in just 2 weeks, all of them deleting because the new myspace blows. it's more like AdvertisementSpace now. Nothing but ads, and no privacy features. it's insulting when your comments you send are "updates"
Myspace was bought out in the summer of '08 by Fox and Mediacom. They fired all of Tom's original crew during that summer, but waited till Christmas of 2008 to finally kick him to the curb. Tom was just a poster boy for them after they bought it out. Ever wonder why he hasn't logged on since Christmas of last year? Now you know why...
it's still better than fucking facebook.
