This game show is s*** the questions in the final chase are a joke last last week one was asked to the chaser What's XIII in Roman numerals the answer 13 how is that a hard question for a chaser who all 4 have some special quiz master award etc the questions should be a lot more harder for all rounds.
if a contestant faces the chaser after he has win £5000, the chaser offers him to go for £1000 or he can go for £25000, if he decides to go for £1000 and loses, he is out of the game but the fact he only went for a £1000, does he get to keep the remaining £4000 or does leave with nothing
damn, the host of this show speeds through the questions for the chaser yet takes his time with the opponents and they also have to buzz ! what a fix !
IMO, the same questions should be asked to each the oppponent AND the chaser.
I recon the host is wearing an earpiece and he's being told "speed up" at the right time for the chaser and "slow down " for the opponents
@sweetypie000 There have been multiple times where Bradley has taken ages with the Chaser too. For example, I've seen him eat up time by saying "Corrrrrrrrect" when he needs to hurry the hell up.
This was repeated yesterday. Ian put in £20k and Driss a pathetic and cowardly £200. Ian's comment, 'He's not a team player', was a classic peice of understandment.
@TheIdentCritic: I have a MBChB and MA from the University of Cambridge...one's alumnus status means jack shit. Whilst a lot of intelligent people go to Oxbridge, many are just normal people who work their asses off. Many of my school friends who I would consider to be of high intelligence did not go to Oxbridge. In any case, as I said before, this show is based purely on knowledge. Anybody who invests enough time can garner an immense level of knowledge in a multitude of topics.
@molecularmadness I'ts higher than you think, you scrawny little thing, you. I take it that you're one of these spoilt priviledged types that was given everything in life every time you tugged at daddy's sleeve. But in all seriousness, I can see your point. But come on, the average guy does'nt know where Guyana is, so give Mark a.k.a the beast, some credit.
@EggheadOfTheFuture: I went to a normal school and am a typical middle class person, whilst many of my colleagues went to public schools etc. My parents did what they could for me, but I was never rolling in the cash. Anyway, maybe the average guy doesn't know where Guyana is, but if the average guy spent time learning random facts, they would be great at a game like this. The game is purely based on knowledge i.e. reciting facts, not intelligence.
@EggheadOfTheFuture: Also I am not belittling the Mark dude. I am sure he is intelligent, but that is separate from his recital of millions of facts. My comment on university status was meant to indicate that smart does NOT = oxbridge. It is a common misconception that everybody at Cambridge is smart (or rich for that matter). There are many people with mediocre intelligence who go to Cambridge, who spend all day and all night working. The cleverest guy I know is currently flipping burgers heh.
The "brains" in these shows grinds my gears. They merely spend years memorising facts. Recalling known facts is not a measure of intelligence, but rather the efficacy at which facts are learnt. That portly fellow invests many hours per week memorising "quiz based facts". I choose to use my intelligence in a specialised field that is far more challenging than mere pub quizzes. If I dedicated as much time as this chap for learning quiz facts, I would destroy him (as would many others).
@molecularmadness So you must work in a chippy then? You must be pretty ignorant to think that no intelligence is required. That guy knows more than your mummy and daddy put together.
@EggheadOfTheFuture : Intelligence and knowledge are not synonymous. This show is purely about knowledge. That guy is a lot of hot air. He probably does know more, but my parents are still far more intelligent, as am I. I suspect your IQ is similar to that chap's body mass index. Which must be somewhere around the 35 mark?

I love this quiz. The chasers are all brilliant, but they don't come across like a bunch of show-offs. Not like the Eggheads
