This was a great movie. It made me tear up a little. It was so touching and so, I'm speechless! I like it when Melissa says "He said you guys were closed" and when Jesus replies "Yeah, he's been trying to drive people away from me for years" I mean, it opens up your eyes.
If more movies were made like this and less like the crap they market to us; the world would be a little bit brighter.

A study shows that in any crisis situation about 20 react wrong, about 15% act wisely and the rest all 65% do basically nothing. They wait to be rescued or for someone else to lead, because they can't or won't make a choice. The meeting of Jesus would be a crisis for many, a joy to the faithful.
This movie is great but the only thing that made it annoying was nick he is so STUBBORN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for goodness sakes Jesus tried so HARD to change him but nick just had too much PRIDE!:( way to much.
Great.. Religious propaganda in movies - this could have been good if they would have stuck with the subtitle undertones - "he's been trying to keep people away from me for years"..

Very good movie. The fool sayeth in his heart, there is no God. Nuff said. I see the earth, and look at life, and that's evidence enough for me to believe in God. If you haven't seen this, you NEED to. After watching Bruce in the Visual Bible, I had prayed if Jesus is anything like this I can't help love Him. In this movie he portrays Jesus with so much depth, that again I can't help but love Jesus. Okay, Sting turned in a good performance, the guy who wouldn't get past his pride and his money. I was in tears through most of it, at His re-assuring Words. WATCH THIS MOVIE!! It will bless you. Bruce is just wonderful as Jesus.
Saw this last night. Awesome movie. Makes you remember that God is so above us in His ways and thoughts and yet he takes the time to meet each of us in just the way we need. He really is our "Last Chance".

Why couldn't god just take everyone? Why punish people for a finite crime infinitely? Imagine I see you hit someone in the face, after that I take you and proceed to beat you for the rest of your life because you hit someone in the face, it doesn't make sense to create or allow endless punishment for a finite crimes.
@MysteriousAya The devil is not stronger than God (it isn't even a competition). He can and will "push them away" in due time. God isn't punishing us for individual crimes, he's punishing us for a state of being. He doesn't judge by what you do (i.e hit someone) but by the thing in our heart that makes us do it (i.e. hatred, envy etc.). He can't take everyone b/c everyone doesn't love him, much less care two hoots about him. Would you have people who hate you move into your house for eternity?
@aisatsblake If they were good people then I most certainly would. I'm not going to turn away a good person simply because they didn't like me. And furthermore, non-belief is not hate. Next is the issue of the devil. Why in due time? By that you're implicitly accepting the fact that god is making us suffer. If my children, should I have any, were being antagonized by forces they couldn't deal with and I had the ability to stop it, I would step in the moment I was aware of it.
Why would he wait to remove something like that? Why allow it to continue if its not even a competition? And on top of that he is damning us for what we were made to do, being human. Everyone does things out of rage, envy, lust, etc. because its what drives us forward in life. We can't help these things no matter who you are or what you believe. I still believe in helping my fellow man and being a good person but there are still times I want to punch someone.
By what you're telling me he has designed us to fail from the outset and then punishing us for something he expected to happen. Even if you're not saying that directly, if you believe he has a plan for us, then that plan must include those who fail to do as he says and by that he is creating hell for those he predetermined won't make it and blaming us for not making it. The devil wants you dead and in hell, make no mistake. No, sorry, he didn't step in. His came with a clause of "accept me or be thrown in hell." Me stepping in would have no clause, it would have no nessecity other than being the ones I cared for. So the fact that him showing up would not negate free will but actually give people a reason to believe in him rather than blindly reaching out and vaguely hoping he's there doing something and has some kind of plan. I don't believe without evidence and as of yet there is no evidence for god that holds up to anything that couldn't be said or attributed to the deity of another religion.

@MysteriousAya Part 2 - Jesus is our last chance because he makes it as though you've never done anything wrong. He took our punishment when he died on the cross. Now, it's just for you and I to decide if we want to accept the free gift. Religion tells you to do things to make yourself good. Christ says that there is nothing we can do to make up for all we've thought and done wrong, but he's covered us so it's okay. Takes the pressure off. Truth is, we know there is a price for sin, hence GUILT
@aisatsblake I refuse to accept a human sacrifice for any taking of punishment. It would be immoral of me to accept such a thing. Lets say that a judge is trying a criminal, just before sentencing the judge stops the trial and tells the officers to bring out his son and proceed to beat him mercilessly. The judge then looks to the criminal and says "He took your punishment for you, do you accept this?" Its not right in the real world and its not right to accept any such act.

If you haven't seen this, you NEED to. After watching Bruce in the Visual Bible, I had prayed if Jesus is anything like this I can't help love Him. In this movie he portrays Jesus with so much depth, that again I can't help but love Jesus. Okay, Sting turned in a good performance, the guy who wouldn't get past his pride and his money. I was in tears through most of it, at His re-assuring Words. WATCH THIS MOVIE!! It will bless you. Bruce is just wonderful as Jesus.

Saw this last night. Awesome movie. Makes you remember that God is so above us in His ways and thoughts and yet he takes the time to meet each of us in just the way we need. He really is our "Last Chance".

Why does god only take those who believe in Jesus and ignores those who live moral lives otherwise but might pray to another god or no god at all? Why would he save just those few people when 153,000 die per day and statistically speaking only 33 percent, 50,490 are Christian? That's 102510 sent to hell in a single day. Why?

Hell wan't made for people, it was made for demons. God is desperate for you and me not to go there, but when we hold our heads high and deny that indeed we tend towards evil (sin) and that we deserve punishment for that sin, we take the same stance as Satan himself and thus receive his punishment. Why couldn't god just take everyone? Why punish people for a finite crime infinitely? Imagine I see you hit someone in the face, after that I take you and proceed to beat you for the rest of your life because you hit someone in the face, it doesn't make sense to create or allow endless punishment for a finite crimes.

@MysteriousAya The devil is not stronger than God (it isn't even a competition). He can and will "push them away" in due time. God isn't punishing us for individual crimes, he's punishing us for a state of being. He doesn't judge by what you do (i.e hit someone) but by the thing in our heart that makes us do it (i.e. hatred, envy etc.). He can't take everyone b/c everyone doesn't love him, much less care two hoots about him. Would you have people who hate you move into your house for eternity?

@aisatsblake If they were good people then I most certainly would. I'm not going to turn away a good person simply because they didn't like me. And furthermore, non-belief is not hate. Next is the issue of the devil. Why in due time? By that you're implicitly accepting the fact that god is making us suffer. If my children, should I have any, were being antagonized by forces they couldn't deal with and I had the ability to stop it, I would step in the moment I was aware of it.

Why would he wait to remove something like that? Why allow it to continue if its not even a competition? And on top of that he is damning us for what we were made to do, being human. Everyone does things out of rage, envy, lust, etc. because its what drives us forward in life. We can't help these things no matter who you are or what you believe. I still believe in helping my fellow man and being a good person but there are still times I want to punch someone.

By what you're telling me he has designed us to fail from the outset and then punishing us for something he expected to happen. Even if you're not saying that directly, if you believe he has a plan for us, then that plan must include those who fail to do as he says and by that he is creating hell for those he predetermined won't make it and blaming us for not making it. @MysteriousAya I LOVE what you just said. You said that if your children were being antagonized you would step in. That's what Jesus did! It's great! He stepped in. The devil wants you dead and in hell, make no mistake. Christ had to "step in" and take your punishment so that the force of evil wouldn't drag you into hell by enticing you with money, beauty, power, sex etc. Here's the thing though, God won't make you accept the "out" he has created for you and me. It's totally up to you and me.

@MysteriousAya Also, non-belief is hate. It's hard to accept b/c probably in your mind you feel indifferent at best but certainly not antagonistic towards God (at least I don't get that sense). But He knows us better than we know ourselves and the daily decision to deny our sin, assume we know what's best for our lives and define "good" in our own terms, shows our hatred of the God who made and loves us. With Jesus there is no inbetween; you either love him or hate him. He's a stumbling block.

No, sorry, he didn't step in. His came with a clause of "accept me or be thrown in hell." Me stepping in would have no clause, it would have no nessecity other than being the ones I cared for. I don't care if they cared for me or outright loathed me, it would be unconditional, end of story. Jesus did no such thing in any form. His "saving grace" is conditional. And I go back to an earlier statement, if its no competition then why is the devil even allowed to exist? (more)

If you accept that god made everything then you also have to accept that god made the devil. Why else in a universe that he created would such a being exist? It would be like making a private play ground for children and then bringing in one violent offender. You were responsible for letting him in, you were responsible for everything he would continue to do when you have the power to shove him out at any time. I don't believe in santa claus, easter bunny, great juju on the mount, unicorns, dragons, witches, goblins, demons, or the like, does that mean I hate those things, even implicitly? No, it just means I see no evidence for them existing therefore I don't believe in them. Claiming otherwise is attempting to frame a person with something they are not.

@MysteriousAya Actually, Humans let him in when eve and adam ate the forbidden fruit. They did that because they had free will. If we didn't have free will then none of us could "choose" to love God. We would be a bunch of programmed robots.

Even if God came out and said "Here I am" parted the clouds, everyone saw it, put on a mystical show and created life right in front of hundreds of thousands of people I would not worship him. So the fact that him showing up would not negate free will but actually give people a reason to believe in him rather than blindly reaching out and vaguely hoping he's there doing something and has some kind of plan. I don't believe without evidence and as of yet there is no evidence for god that holds up to anything that couldn't be said or attributed to the deity of another religion.

@MysteriousAya Part 2 - Jesus is our last chance because he makes it as though you've never done anything wrong. He took our punishment when he died on the cross. Now, it's just for you and I to decide if we want to accept the free gift. Religion tells you to do things to make yourself good. Christ says that there is nothing we can do to make up for all we've thought and done wrong, but he's covered us so it's okay. Takes the pressure off. Truth is, we know there is a price for sin, hence GUILT

@aisatsblake I refuse to accept a human sacrifice for any taking of punishment. It would be immoral of me to accept such a thing. Lets say that a judge is trying a criminal, just before sentencing the judge stops the trial and tells the officers to bring out his son and proceed to beat him mercilessly. The judge then looks to the criminal and says "He took your punishment for you, do you accept this?" Its not right in the real world and its not right to accept any such act.
