I find it humorous to read all of the people who want to buy your guitars. Get ur own! You rock like no other, other than me.............well, how I want to, anyway! thanks for all you do!
I'm about to get an SG, it's my dream guitar. The first song I plan on playing on it is this. You've really inspired my playing, and who knows? I might get somewhere with the stuff you've taught me. All I need is a good name for the guitar...
It's hard to believe that Rick played all these technical, spot on licks while jumping, running, and mugging live on stage at Budokan. I've got a lot more respect for RN after watching this....i.e., there's more to this "simple" song than you realize.
This is an excellent cover...by the way. The SG's a honkin' for sure : )
@TheBokmaa ___You have to cover tunes by artists that people are passionate about....No disrespect but nobody who plays classic rock, rockabilly, blues and the like really wants to hear Jonas Bros or Pink, and everyone and their brother covers Poison...Pick some artists that influenced them and you might get some hits...
Was listening to this on the way home from work tonight... began to wonder if there was a 1/2 way decent cover of it on youtube for me to learn the song from.... turns out I was wrong... way more than 1/2 way decent...lol, great cover... thanks.
@jessi15er This guitar is a Gibson SG Standard. When Norlin owned the company, they changed the specs and even the materials of some of their popular models. In the early 1970's they used block inlays for the SG Standard starting at the first fret, instead of the more traditional trapezoid inlay beginning at fret three. Notice the neck pickup is flush with the end of the fretboard, instead of being spaced about an inch away from the fretboard. You can see the Norlin style bridge as well.
Sam - magic as always. Thanks for the lessons and your covers are simply the best. You never fail to amaze me on how you hit that perfect tone for the piece and have the energy of the song nailed.
Great video. Thanks for the posts. I can break all these songs into parts and play them and hopefully get to put it all together as fluid as that soon enough. That's the goal anyway...
that a triple pickup sg converted to standard double pickup?
