  • @TonyWRO the Sahara may be bigger, but not better my friend, Namib is more beautiful and has less dangers.It even supports more life than the sahara, it meets the ocean, is the oldest desert, has the fastest beetles and chameleons, Sahrara is still cool to me.

  • Sahara shall be colonized !! It is easy -everything you need is digging canal on the sea level running trough the middle of Sahara that shall be a few kilometers wide. Sea water evaporates from the canal creating clouds and rains

    He told me about the Benguela current and the humid air meeting, therefore creating the desert.

    I was fascinated when I heard that. I immediately googled it!

    I think it's a very fascinating place.

    Wish I could go there somewhere.

    As for deserts, living in Australia - i find them really nothing special other than a baron wasteland and more prefer the tropics of our country... But horses for courses I guess.

  • Ha! I live in Switzerland but I have some australian family. I find the swiss alpes and mountains quite boring compared to what you can find in Australia like the beach, rainforest, desert... My family find Australia boring and love the swiss alpes. Guess you get used to it.
