I love watching Thor hushovd. He actually goes in breaks and works for every point that he can. Cav just sits in the peloton and has his team do all the work for him, except the last few meters of course. Yes, cav is faster, but he is not as fun to watch.

Thor, like boonen, is not a sprinter. They just happen to produce LOTS of power. Pure sprinters typically beat them. very few riders 'only' win sprints. They are the sprinters. crap measurements VO2, power per kilogram, ETC, but masses of type two muscle fibers, means they win LOTS of races. Most races aren't hard enough to drop the sprinters - ESPECIALLY beneath the pro ranks.

Almost all pro syclists have an attitude towards the press. Excuses? Thor and Mark is about the same, but normaly the interviews is shot directly after the stage is finished. And with all the adrenaline that cyclists get during sprints I can't really see anything wrong about them. Thor deserves the green, he has (almost) no teammates to help him like Cavendish has. Cavendish has said this himself.

Have everybody lost their minds? Cav looked behind to see where Thor was then moved to block him. Cavendish is the fastest sprinter in the world hands down, but he can't climb mountains for shit and that's why Thor holds the green jersey.

There are so many stupid assumptions made I don't know where to begin.

1. Cav was disqualified BEFORE cervelos complaint was processed.

2. Even if it had been that protest which made the Tour management look into the episode it was they who decided that it warranted disqualification not Thor.

3. If anybody is the crybaby it is Cav. After Thor reclaimed the green jersey by finishing 6th in the stage before this controversy Cav didn't realise this until he was stopped as he was about to enter the podium to get the jersey. According to french media he threw a fit when he realised it was no longer his.

Cavendish broke no rules! Sure what he did was on purpose but what he did was staying on his line. He did not push Thor, there was a barrier that bumped out and that closed thor down. Cavendish knew that and sticked to his line and thor should have known that also, if he had analyzed the finish probably. If he had, he would have known to try to go left instead of right. Thor made a rookie mistake and Cavendish got punished for being well prepared, he did not do anything.

They way i have seen it Cavendish is by far the best actual sprinter. Hushovd and Freire are just way better climbers. But on a flat road 1 vs 1 Cavendish is faster than both of them.

Thor Hushovd er verdens beste spurter når alt stemmer... det vil si feks: at han får lov til å bruke astma medisin, ikke er syk... that`s it. Han har vært litt uheldig de siste 2 årene. Han er tross alt på det dårligste laget hvis vi ser på de 4-5 beste spurterne i verden mener jeg. Boonen og Pettaci har et helt tog forran seg 8-10 km før mål. Mc ewen klarte ikke å fullføre i fjor ntw...
