In the 1930's a mother sold the tires off of her car in order to buy food. Under do nothing Pres Hoover, the rich inflated and subsequently crashed the stock market. FDR was considered "a traitor to his class" by the east coast rich for implementing the new deal which fed the hungry, provided soc security, unemployment and disability ins, and led to narrowly winning WWar2

Excellent clip! Your are absolutely correct on WW2 being barely won. And we combat many of the social stigmas from that time still today. I often think that people today really don't make that conection... They take for granted just what FDR's administration did for the country.
