what tranny are you using? is it a mechanical or electronic speed sensor? if its mechanical how did you get it to work with your stock speedo?

I have a 86 ranger single cab just like yours but motor is a 69 302 and older c4 tranny

sounds like there is no header gaskets

Leak at the header collector, kept backing off the bolts finally had to crank down some nuts and lock washers.
