The reason AR-15s have a pistol grip isn't to shoot from the hip. It's because the spring for the bolt goes far straight back into the buttstock and it would be near impossible to put a regular grip on it unless if you make it extremely long and even if you did then it would be very awkward. And they aren't modeled after the M16, the M16 was modeled after the AR-15 since the AR-15 was designed first. 30 mrounds is the standard magazine capacity. And I don't have time to show al the other errors.

This is ridiculous. They throw around a lot of hype to scare people. Lots of people I know own AR's and yet not one has been used in a crime. Not one. It's about the shooter, not the gun. A .22LR can kill someone, it's about the intent of the shooter, not the weapon.
This isn't full auto, it doesn't shoot explosives, these are just rifles.
My Marlin 60 .22LR is semi auto and has a stock with a pistol grip. Does that make it an assault weapon?

The reason AR-15s have a pistol grip isn't to shoot from the hip. It's because the spring for the bolt goes far straight back into the buttstock and it would be near impossible to put a regular grip on it unless if you make it extremely long and even if you did then it would be very awkward. And they aren't modeled after the M16, the M16 was modeled after the AR-15 since the AR-15 was designed first. 30 mrounds is the standard magazine capacity. And I don't have time to show al the other errors.

I like the AR a lot, but they are way too expensive over a 1000 bucks for a good one, and the cheap ones are not worth shit. That is why I went MINI 14. Now I own one, and I love it. I think they are better then AR's and my MINI 14 Tac is built like a tank and will never fail.
