  • THIS is how the song should sound - R%ckin Rik

  • That's quite a fancy white Firebird! Anyhone have more details on it? Year? Price range? Exact model #??

  • @hkyoutoob I believe this is a "63 or '64 Firebird III. The color is 'Polaris White'. According to the 2011 Vintage Guitar Price Guide the range would be $17k-18k today.

  • Hobbs was so fantastic!

  • Back in '73 we had 200 proof rock 'n' roll.

Today all they got is soda...and BAD soda at that.

  • its the SNOW MISER

  • awesome band and performance, killer tone as always from JW. Randy Hobbs may have fallen victim to fashion (here!) and drugs, but there's some monster bass playing going down...

  • Don't try this at home !!!

  • Great performance!! Maximum rock 'n roll

  • Great !!!!!

  • never seen him with a beard, its epic

  • wtf kind of audience is that? johnny's rockin!!!!

  • Saw him in Montreal in the 70's , same show, same drummer & bassist, so good, thx for posting, great memories, can't stop watching & listening Johnny & his unique guitar playing,

  • He's better then SRV.

  • sucks that he's albino. he looks like a ghost.

  • Isn't there a version of JJ Flash from this same show...?

  • Richard Hugues and Randy Jo Hobbs are one of the most underated rythm sections of hard rock history. The best had yet to come (Johnny Dawson Winter III + Captured Live). In my book, on par with Tim Bogert and Carmine Appice

  • @thom564 I was from the same hometown of Randy Jo Hobbs. We lost a great bass player.

  • These guys are hot!! great rock rhythm section!! Johnny rules!

  • I remember seeing this on Don Kirschner's Rock Concert when I was an 11 year old kid, only knowing the Rick Derringer version and being able to play it on guitar...needless to say it turned my world upside down and if anything it taught me at the time that you can and should take a song and make it your own, a major light bulb going off in my head at the time...about 2 weeks later I heard Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein" and was floored as well...after that, I wanted to be an albino when I grew up

  • Wow. Johnny really gets around quick on that axe.

  • one vid of this has great sound but not the other. one vid of this has great video but not the other.

  • R.I. P. Richard Hughes & Randy Jo Hobbs!

  • LOVE YOU JOHNNY!!! Stay alive and well!!!

  • @jimistreets yea that was the best

  • Fuckin' WOWWWWwww ... !
