@hkyoutoob I believe this is a "63 or '64 Firebird III. The color is 'Polaris White'. According to the 2011 Vintage Guitar Price Guide the range would be $17k-18k today.
awesome band and performance, killer tone as always from JW. Randy Hobbs may have fallen victim to fashion (here!) and drugs, but there's some monster bass playing going down...
Saw him in Montreal in the 70's , same show, same drummer & bassist, so good, thx for posting, great memories, can't stop watching & listening Johnny & his unique guitar playing,
Richard Hugues and Randy Jo Hobbs are one of the most underated rythm sections of hard rock history. The best had yet to come (Johnny Dawson Winter III + Captured Live). In my book, on par with Tim Bogert and Carmine Appice
I remember seeing this on Don Kirschner's Rock Concert when I was an 11 year old kid, only knowing the Rick Derringer version and being able to play it on guitar...needless to say it turned my world upside down and if anything it taught me at the time that you can and should take a song and make it your own, a major light bulb going off in my head at the time...about 2 weeks later I heard Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein" and was floored as well...after that, I wanted to be an albino when I grew up
THIS is how the song should sound - R%ckin Rik

Johnny Winter....
the ONLY Texas Blues Guitarist to play ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:
Woodstock
The Fillmore East
The Fillmore West

Put that in your "blues guitar legends" pipe and smoke it....
