  • sorry Page but Bonham wins the ending

  • @mrserjmalakian WTF! :D Who cares

  • god bless led zep forever and ever!!!

  • sydney you FOOL. i said AFTER 1972!

  • I have the CD! <3 :D

  • @travkatz - point me to ONE concert where plant is able to sing rock and roll or black dog without dropping a full tone after 1972. i defy you.

  • @caesarcerf sydney 1972

  • elvispresley718 - he did!

  • Uh Yeah!!! Uh Yeah!!!, Uh Yeah!!! Uh Yeah!!!, Uh Yeah!!! Uh Yeah!!!, Ahhhhhhhh!! ♪ BEST VERSION ♥

  • Nevermind

  • Isn't it just like 4 minutes long?

  • bonham = hammer of the gods

  • I used to think Plant was BS'ing interviewers when he said that Bonham was most irreplacable member of the band. Sort of using Bonham's death as an excuse for never "officially" re-uniting with Zep. But after hearing "How The West Was Won", he was absolutely forthright. Bonaham played out of his gorde and was surreal !!!

  • @CoolerByAMile john bonham walked on musical waters!

  • @elvispresley718 you damn right about that one!

  • I was all geared up for The Ocean!

  • BREATHTAKING!

  • if anyone from another planet ask me: what is rock, i would probably show this song, this version...

  • John Bonham. That's all.

  • such a fantastic show!!

  • This concert even tho its from two different city's, is magical!! youth gone wild!!!!!!

  • why some songs of "how the west was won" are blocked due copyright and other songs not?

  • @blackknighthood they didnt write all of them (like in whole lotta love)

  • @offspringlad312

they didn't write the line "you need love" - all the rest of them, they wrote.

  • @offspringlad312 sure, but i was asking for "since ive been loving you", i uploaded it months ago, and it was blocked, but then youtube unblocked it, well idk :S

  • is this the only live version of this song where Robert can actually sing it? Beautiful

  • @travkatz there are plenty of gems from the Led Zeppelin 2003 DVD set. Any live performance from about 1972 and before kicks ass. Plant was still pretty good in 1973 in my opinion. He didnt' take care of his voice and didn't have professionals training him, unfortunately. But all of their studio stuff is good, somehow. All my opinion of course.

  • @travkatz theres plenty of concerts from zep's later years 77-80 where Plant is just fine. His voice changed no doubt its just that he had his good nights and bad nights. If he had professional help it might be different, but being the bluesman he is, he just goes with the flow. ;)

  • Like this (a lot)

  • Thanks for the great video's, those were the days of some of the greatest music ever played and written. Long live the music of the mighty Zeppelin!

  • plz make a vid of over the hills and far way for how the west was one

  • @TheRockandrolltrain yea sure, ill make that my next project =)

  • @contagioushotdog the vid is unathorized but ty for tryimg

  • I thought this was studio version for a sec :O

  • Hey all, I just want to thanks for all the views! Check out my channel for more Led Zeppelin/ Hendrix Stuff! I will be putting more videos up shortly!

  • LED ZEPPELIN FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • omg! its almost 2 am here and i cant stop listening to zepp!

    but that's not a bad thing :)

  • @GetofFenris187 HAHAHA!

  • @hadjicrack I don't know, I'm a drummer. :D But Jimmy does sound real good here - both the tone and his playing, and Bonzo is dropping the hammer!

    BONZO RULES!

  • @MrTooz3 YES!

  • Lowly Lowly Lowly Lowlyyy!!!! TRUE LOVE!

  • (How The West Was Won) Complete Album On My Channel!

  • i love how the west was won.....;D

  • Heartbreaker sounds amazing on this album, Bonzo did better drumming

  • is this a concert?

  • @streetsesh80 Uhh duh. I've viewed over 10 thousand vids on yt and that question takes the cake as the most insipid.

  • I have 10 or so live Led Zep shows, and I can say every song they do live is better than the studio. They're just more alive and intense. And of course Jimmy's improv is incredible.

  • zep were always better live

  • i agree it's much better than the studio version

  • The studio version of this song sucks big balls.... This live version totally beats the shit out of the Studio album version...

  • @MastaOfDe916 they're both great

  • Best rendition of this song

  • @cinephile99

    100% agree. Sounds punk.

  • @TexasMist how dare you, punk is shit

  • @Jimihendrix6699

yeah, most of it is. What I meant was this earlier version is fast, intense and machine like. The SRTS version, to me, was kind of laid back a little.

  • @TexasMist yea i see what you mean.

  • @TexasMist yeah the 73 one did seem a bit laid back, but if you check out the 79 version at knebworth bonham is slamming the hell out of the drums, and it sounds great

  • @TexasMist oh yeah zep rules

  • Rock 'N' Roll on this album sounds fucking awesome live!!! i have this whole album on my iPod.

  • @MastaOfDe916 (How The West Was Won) Complete Album On My Channel!

  • Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • THE BEST LIVE EVER!!!

  • 3:21 jajajajja

  • zeppelin are the best band all time

i like that cd how the west was won

  • Sounds WAY better than the TSRTS version

  • Bass and drums are so loud in the mix. Jimmy's buried. But yeah, better performance

  • @burntoast (How The West Was Won) Complete Album On My Channel!

  • @gjt26

Look when the cameras on right in your face, it changes your playing. :S

Makes you nervous, you can get the wrong kind of nervous or the good type...

Royal Albert Hall, so much nervousness that it turned out to be so good, MSG was good, but could have been better with some songs, like Rock And Roll, but most songs were :O!

  • so fuckin' good lyrics. arent they? ;)

  • jimmy paige is the best guitar player!!!

  • @HANDLEBAR123123 almost as good as Jimmy Page

  • john paul jones is my favorite drummer..lol

  • im just kidding dumbasses

  • john paul jones ... drummer.... ?! Hum hum

The drummer is John "Bonzo" Bonham darling...

  • lol what moran said that the closest to percussion he came was key board lol

  • Zeppelin put rock on the map. without them rock may have been just another fad genre

  • sabbath and budgie

  • Comment removed

  • with all that spanish in there I'm pretty sure you just said you sucked massive, spicy I might add, nut nuggets(03)

  • that was the funniest thing ive read all day

  • Are you a complete idiot ? Page is the guitarist!!

  • it's not his fault he doesn't know nothing about them but why the stupid racist comment

  • the led zeppelin members would all punch you in the face if they heard a comment like that

  • i love the version of since ive been loving you on this album its grreat:)

  • This is my favourite live version of Rock & Roll!!! The power, energy and vibe by a band that's in peak form!!!!

  • This is the band, definitively, they created Rock´n´Roll ,no one else could ever have called a song Rock´n´Roll just they ,cause they are...

  • id get my freak on wit any member of led zeppelin

  • Rumahuqu says YEAH !

  • Jimmy's best-ever version of this classic. Love his playing on this one!

  • woooooooooooooooow !

  • Roooooooooooooooooooock and Roooooooool

  • l !!!!!

  • gosh his voice is marvelous here

  • if you ever read the book "stairway to heaven" it tells you how robert was mad at john b., jimmy p. for all the drugs. and john b. died from 40 shots of vodka.

  • No, he died from puking them up and choking on it

  • ya he had 40 shots of vodka then choked on his vomet

  • yup!

  • cant we just say "he died from drinking to much" the details are just nasty eh

  • It happens

  • @ sslink1 some chots of vodka one night then went to sleep at his house then rergetated in his sleep JPJ found him dead :(

  • @sslink1

well he died from alcohol poisoning no more or less, from losing the gag reflex from too much alcohol.

  • agreed jdrum12. by the way, how could they have played to 100K in Oakland unless it was over several nights ... some guy above says they did.

  • plant lost his voice in early 73,' the "High Range," forever. this is why this show captured in summer 72' sounds good. and strangely, page lost it, the 'magic,' at least live, in 73!' (the page bit is speculation, the plant bit historical fact. in november 73' plant said during the start of the physical graffiti sessions, "i'm going to have to find another way to sing.")

  • You're right. I saw them in '75 and '77 and they sounded NOTHING like this. Maybe if Plant eased up on the cigarettes and booze his voice would've lasted longer. Even Bonham and Page didn't sound as good as this. Drugs definitely took the "magic" away from these guys. Too bad - there could've been so much more GOOD live stuff.

  • well dude i saw this vid of them at Knebworth 1979 his voice was atcually pre good man but wasnt i agree it changed tooo much now

  • @Shaman2401

    Au au au.

  • @jdrum12 just be thankful they did it in the first place a lot of healthy people make boring music like CELINE DION KENNY G etc.....

  • @caesarcerf but he did find anothe way to sing

  • my dad and his brother saw this at the oakland coliseum on august 17,1977 along with 100,000 people. the biggest conert in oakland coliseum history other than ozzfest just five years ago,but it was spread over five days while led zeppelin's concert with 100,000 was one time, one night only

  • That's a little off, Led Zeppelin played there on July 23rd AND 24th in 1977 so it was also not one night.

  • how the west was won=greatest live album ever recorded

  • It has a more powerful feeling to it, everthing is punchier. Even though it doesnt have all the perfection and peak of their live set that TSRTS has it just seems a stronger statment of the band.

  • @dlite95 they WROTE the book of hard rock for other rock bands to come at the time but i think LITTLE RICHARD,ELVIS & CHUCK BERRY had alot to do with that

    also.

  • @dlite95 Completely agree!

    I can't live without it!

  • @dlite95 Damn right!

  • @dlite95 Second only to hendrix's band of gypsys

  • @dlite95 i started LOVING led zepp like 5 months ago and in my house i everything to do with zepp :D:D:D:D:D:D im inlove with them

  • @dlite95 No way, but it's still brilliant.

  • this is SO much better than The Song Remains the Same soundtrack

  • they are both really good

  • i REALLY AGREE

  • love this album!

  • agreed! fantastic album
