I have really enjoyed this video and some of your others, and let me give a few pointers for those trying to learn from the video:
1) Play along as best you can at first 2) Turn your amp off and just watch and play along
3)Go back and stop and pause, etc; until you think you have it figured out
4)Keep watching or listening without your amp on, you have to have what this guy is playing in your head to be able to play it. Remember you cannot play this unless you have every note memorized! MAM
Just amazin'!!!! And you play it just like it's nothin'... It really is great, and after some practice (I mean a lot of...), I finaly can play this lovely song too ;-)
Maybe it's not your type of music. I mentioned the latinish sound before, but
if you get a chance, will you take a listen to " Los Van Van: Sandungera". The leader and arranger of the group is the bass player. I'm sure you'll enjoy his playing..
Another great cover - I remember watching the Monkees on TV when I was young. I am lucky to be a child of the late 50's - so I got to listen to the Monkees, Beatles then all of the great rock bands of the late 60's, 70's and 80's. What a great period of music. You are certainly one of the best Bass Players on Youtube. Keep Rockin, Ed \m/
Hey friend, this is awesome. I was playing this for years thinking I had cracked it but this playalong just takes the cake. Its my mission to learn it this way by the end of weekend. Half way there :) Any tips for the last part where it stays on G?
As for me being a Beatles Fan I own a Hofner Icon Series Bass violin guitar and quite happy with it. My next purchase hopefully will be a Rickenbacker 4001C64_Chris
2 things to say:
- you look an awfull lot like paul mcartney from beatles from the nose down
&

You are using Elixir bass strings. Do you think strings really make the difference or it's just you're a good bass player?
