i bet if an investigation was put forth, using indepentdent investigators not their own brotherhood of crime protecting them, i bet 90% of police are corrupt! What would happen if we the people choose who got to serve and protect us, if we held elections and you had to be elected to become a police officer? There would be police officers with masters and phd's protecting us and solving crimes. But we instead stick to hiring cowards with a chips on thier shoulder or with lil big man syndrome..

police are important to a civilized society. the hard part is keeping the good police and getting rid of the corrupt and evil police that plague the system. don't assume that because a person is a cop that they are bad. i know a few police officers and they are great people. they do it to help people everyday. and it makes them very angry to see corrupt police giving them a bad name. cut the good guys some slack.

Cops used a abuse the system there defend I see it 5 times a month, cops parking in emergency fire route parking to grab a sandwhich or turn on there fuckings lights so they can go full speed at night and meet up behind school yards to chat and shit, i mean my buddy got pulled over for "not properly moving out of the way" while using there sirens

@SuperSultan1988 Generally, one doesn't "struggle" with a woman who is carrying a child in the first place. That she was pregnant was a secondary abuse to his actions. The good of the child does not mean "wrestle his mother to the ground and shock her." The same policy applies to car chases, where they STOP CHASING the suspected vehicle if it means lowering the risk to other people.
Police have a system of abuse control just like anyone else. Cumulatively, he deserved to be fired.

If she gets aggitated, and they know who she is and where she lives, the PROPER response is to allow her to leave. She came to the station to do the right thing, so she's not some run-away thug avoiding justice. Let her calm down, call her or visit her home, and get the child turned over when she's calmer. This sort of thing is covered in police training, just swiping the kid is sometimes counterproductive

BUT... a very vital point... we cannot fall into the reverse trap either. We cannot villify the victim of a crime, and this WAS a crime, just because the aggressor was a cop. To say they're held to a higher standard is absolutely true, for better AND worse.

You show them a video tape proving that the cop was not justified in his actions or whose actions were completely out of line and no matter what he says you have proof. Should you get a crooked judge there is youtube and other sites where you can send it to a 'higher authority' and several dirty cops have been dealt with because of the public outcry caused by the people who watched it.
