I am from Christchurch New Zealand and really want to know how the location of a coronal hole on the sun seems to mirror earthquakes occurances on earth's latitude. The same location on the earths latitude within a longitude area seem to be affected by solar flares or mass ejections and more likely to cause earthquakes. Can you please explain how this mirror effect works or provide a link that can explain it? Thanks mate!

@Amerikiwians Earth-Sun-Mercury is a fast moving alignment, we get five a year. NZ seems to get one large earthquake a year from these alignments meaning a 20% probability. we have already had a significant earthquake but not as large as expected so one of these other dates, not specific but around these dates give or take a few days we may see a stronger earthquake for the New Zealand Region. Aug 17-Sep29 and Dec4. I chose June 13 as i felt it was the strongest of these alignments for the year.
Please, barcaroller, I'd like to know by what mechanism you think that
a) a not-to-scale alignment of planets that doesn't even go through Earth could have any effect on Earth. By your diagram, Earth is on the opposite side of the sun, and surely the effect should be on Mercury if anywhere? Have you any historical data that shows an increased incidence of earthquakes at these weird angles?
b) that sunspots can have an effect on earthquakes? What data do you base this hypothesis on?
@apurdam those using the left brain will never be able to logic these answers, universal knowledge is available for those with an open mind without limits or dogmas, and sunspots have no relationship to earthquakes at all, earthquakes are from coronal holes, sun spots or active regions are reflections in 3D time due to interference of the earth-sun translation.

@apurdam I don't think barcaroller "predicts" earthquakes. He does look at forces he feels have an influence on the Earth's tectonic activity and applies that understanding to certain regions he feels *may* be affected. It may well prove that the forces occurring in that watch weren't the straw that broke a particular 'earthquake camel' 's back, but the potential for it to do so existed. So barcaroller is doing what the earthquake scientists to - looking at risk factors and reporting them.
Thankyou so much for doing what you do - I for one depend on your earthquake reports so much. I cannot understand why sceptical materialsim types feel the need to display such hate / ( they have bullied and forced others to not speak ((ken ring)))) I now keep silent as they just put people down. :(

14th August is going to be a BIGGIE! Venus, the sun, mercury, the earth and the moon line up. Saturn & Jupiter are in the wings, creating a cross!!!....This time, i would put money on Italy, Turkey, Spain or Greece. Maybe the UK!

The two biggest quakes in Chch were upgraded this afternoon (NZST) to a 5.6 and a 6.3 - bigger than first calculated on the Richter.

I warned quite a few last week today's quakes would happen and no one wanted to see why, typical, now they are all saying wow to your predictions. They had two 5.7 earthquakes within an hour and several 4.5+ quakes. On the satellite images the ash cloud seems to be around 500km long by now, if not longer... There's only one website reporting about this at the moment: earthquake-report(.)com

Yesterday afternoon and during the night they had several earthquakes on the border of Eritrea and Ethiopia near a volcano. The volcano is probably spewing ash according to the satellite images!!!

bit of activity this morning in chch in some odd locations lincoln area, rakaia area, diamond harbour and oxford area. the week before the 5.3 we had, rolleston had been having many regular timed tremors 7am and 10am every day then bam 9am the 5.3, this week the same for oxford but not sure whether this could be a pattern or not? can more then 1 fault shake at the same time as the locations arent all on the same fault line

If you are going to make assumptions like this, you might as well say earthquakes happen everyday over the globe, which it does, but insignificant to report. Secondly, that's the aftershock effect of Christchurch, which no proof can be linked with the event of alignment. HOWEVER, major earth quakes of 8+ MAY occur after this date. We'll have to wait and see.

For example, if I said "the sky is falling" 100 times, and on the 100th time the sky fell, then is that 100th prediction actually meaningful?
So I was wondering if you had done a similar analysis on your hypothesis.

The two biggest quakes in Chch were upgraded this afternoon (NZST) to a 5.6 and a 6.3 - bigger than first calculated on the Richter.
Thanks for your postings - I was certainly more prepared than I would have been, including double checking my meeting place for my child yesterday morning in the event of another quake. Made for a much quicker reunion when it happened, so thank you.

I warned quite a few last week today's quakes would happen and no one wanted to see why, typical, now they are all saying wow to your predictions. Keep up the work man , I am so happy I had pre warning, even if it didnt happen I would have been happy as we got prepared for the worst, power is now back on after 5 hours and looks like we have some water pressure coming though . They had two 5.7 earthquakes within an hour and several 4.5+ quakes. On the satellite images the ash cloud seems to be around 500km long by now, if not longer... There's only one website reporting about this at the moment: earthquake-report(.)com

How right you were as it turned out. Today Christchurch has the following quakes within 2 hours . 5.5 at 1, 4.4 at 1.08, 3.4 at 1.28. 6.0 at 2.20.

bit of activity this morning in chch in some odd locations lincoln area, rakaia area, diamond harbour and oxford area. the week before the 5.3 we had, rolleston had been having many regular timed tremors 7am and 10am every day then bam 9am the 5.3, this week the same for oxford but not sure whether this could be a pattern or not? can more then 1 fault shake at the same time as the locations arent all on the same fault line

@Nizow I don't think so. It's not substantial to make headlines. If you are going to make assumptions like this, you might as well say earthquakes happen everyday over the globe, which it does, but insignificant to report. Secondly, that's the aftershock effect of Christchurch, which no proof can be linked with the event of alignment. HOWEVER, major earth quakes of 8+ MAY occur after this date. We'll have to wait and see.
