I found this very helpful. I noticed you mentioned twards the end of your clip that you can connect the Pioneer 800 mixer (which I already have) and use this as the crossfade for both the audio & video. Am I understanding correctly that I should be able to run two DVD players through these two mixers (spliting the audio & video channels), and have a very functional video / audio production?
Can I put an overlay on the top of some channels? For example, if at my son's high school basketball game we have a bottom thirds scoreboard image updated through the laptop and placed over the live video using one of the input channels?
yes, you have an lets say svdieo computer input. then you tipe in your text and then luminence or chaorma will remove the backround color. you can choose the color.
I am comparing going with this type of a video set up or just getting the Serato plug-in and the ttm-57. i use control vinyl.
I noticed your video screen on other postings. How are you transferring that signal? Is that from a projector? Is that what you do at shows? I just get scared at the thought of carrying a monitor in addition to all my other gear, but I know that in the bay area, you need to offer vid's or you will lose business.
Could you use this mixer as a regular audio mixer as well? Or is this mixer for video mixing only?

@elio785 You could run the audio through an audio mixer and then into the inputs of the DVD recorder.
