@s4il most people that use live bait for big largies know what their doing and dont just fish with live bait and its a good way to catch big as bass and if you want to use lures your decreasing your chances of catccing the big ones and tend to catch all the other little guys around, so its just a different tactic.

@s4il your not a serious bass fisherman then sorry. not gonna fight on youtube about the different ways of bass fishing with you because thats for tools. i fish nonstop with lures but when conditions are bad im not gonna sit there and not catch shit on lures, im gonna throw on a gill and stick the giant thats lookin at your lures wondering if your alright... like i said, different tactic. facepalm :P

@glenandgibbert  Not looking to fight you, lol. Just trying to figure out why you took a pop shot at me first. remember you started this. You mentioned using Gills, and sticking big bass on em, ever heard of the swim bait made by Matt Lures, to be more specific the Ultimate Gill? Just trying to help. I would almost bet those same bass your catching on gills would hit a fast moving swim jig, with a large profile trailer in gill pattern. Just google matt lures and u will see what im talking about.

@s4il ya i love the u2 gill! but when the waters so hot they tend not to chase after it. thats when i like to tone it down with an injured bluegill and a float because the bass tend to decide to eat it or not. and they usually do if its the right size. no hard feelings i just get pissed when people hate on vids that arent meant to fullfill everyones likings... anyways no problem and tightlines :)

@wowpapa i use live bait to catch bigger bass. if i want i fish fry i use lures and catch 3-6 pounders all day. the bigger bass usually pass up on lures passin right in front of them. i use bream alot for a more natural presentation so i can catch 10-14 lbs bass.

if i were you i wouldnt use a split shot.they leave nicks and weak spots in your line..let the minnow swim around the cork and hit top of water...thats how i catch fish with minnows...but i dont usually use minnows for bass

screw lures bait fishing is the way to go if you wanna catch some big time fish. what would you rather eat a plastic steak or a juicy porterhouse, cmon now. really it all boils down to quality or quantity which do you want for that perticular outing

bass are really aggressive fish and like to fight for thier food, they would rather chase a lure than eat a worm that is just sitting there, a bass will pretty much bight anything if u put a blade of grass on a hook or a earplug or a ribbon u can more than likely get a bass depending on where ure fishing of course

yep, i used little minnow blue gills(really small) and i threw it out on a big catfish slip bobber and i got some good sized fish. 15 lbs at the max
