  • At :44-46 you mention the clouds and say, that's why they call these the Smoky Mountains...not bashing you, its just entirely accurate. The Smokies got its name initially from the Cherokees, the called them shaconage, which translated means "blue smoke". It references the mists that often appear over the trees/foilage in the mountains, not the clouds in the sky from the atmosphere above. Just thought I'd share, no flames please. Love the Smokies, will be there for the millionth time tomorrow!

  • Nice video ! Most of the locals (I live in TN) pronounce it "ap-uh-latch-un" as opposed to "ap-pal-lay-shun".
