@mcmccman Actually, knowing Oda's tendency to give his characters both given names and surnames based on real people or other fictional characters, Zoro after Zorro is more likely. Also, I believe the original manga shows "ZORO" in the Romanized wanted posters. After all, the language of the world of One Piece is English. Many translators just have a tendency to turn Japanese Rs into Ls wherever it makes sense.

though i agree that the original voice cast is almost always better with anything, the series has been going on for about 11 years, so i doubt the voice actors would sound the same...
