  • Also, Saul was lead by his fears & suppositions at one point ( Saul His thousands, David His ten thousands).

    Saul

    1) Appeared to trust in his armour a little more than God

    2) Was (because of fear) working against the will of God, when He kept trying to kill David

    3) Consulted a Witch to solve His problems (the witch of Endor).

    David

    1) Obeyed the will of His father (taking the food to his brothers)

    2) Put His trust in God more than armor

    3) showed mercy to the one who was trying to harm him.

  • Saul vs David : footnotes 1 Samuel 28:7 (witch of endor) 1 Samuel 17:1-58 (Saul's faith vs Davids obedience & faith) 1 Samuel 18:5-16 1 Samuel 23:14 (Saul's Jealousy & rage vs David's good behavior) I beleive verse 18 :10, "evil spirit" translates to troubling spirit (strongs H7451 ra‛ râ‛âh ). I feel God basically sent spiritual Navy Seals to affect Saul or angels that delivered trouble rather than good to Saul. 1 Samuel 24:4-22 (David's mercy & proof of intent towards Saul)
