I've never actually seen this movie but mention of it reminds me of this guy I knew in college. He had some mild developmental difficulties and one day my roommates and I came home from somewhere to find he had found a way into our apartment (I don't remember how), stretched out on the couch and started watching his DVD of Lost in Space. We let him finish but luckily things like that didn't become a habit with him.

I actually saw this movie when it first came out.

And yes, it is every bit as aweful as Nostalgia Critic says that it is.

The charecters were all completely unlikable (esspecially Will Robinson, and Major Leblanc) and the the full scene of the mutated spider-Doctor Smith towards the end was a lot more gross that it is in this clip.

I hated this movie.
