  • JUST GRAB IT WITH YOUR HAND

  • Go checkout c4fishingteam on YouTube. They fish the canals in Miami and have great quality videos weekly. Also check out their blog. It has a lot of useful information!

  • Catch and release

  • hes a nice flattie

  • Is illegal to film and upload without permission in Britain but presume is America

  • @Tazchurch It's legal to film here in any public area.

  • @Tazchurch whered you get that nonsense?

  • Why did you not kill it with a blow to the head...Not just let it die....

  • For it to be legal "halibut" have to be 22". it's halibut not a flounder.

  • HEY ITS MOVING!! lets step on it. idiots

  • that was a flounder , not a halibut

  • did they keep that halibut its wayy to short too keep it illegal

  • i heard u can fish on the peir with out a license but can't on the beach??? what kinda license do u need for beach fishing?????????

  • @trug724 you are allowed to fish off of the piers for free, but you cant step foot on the the sand to reel the fish in in if you have a saltwater stamp on your license than thats fine..im going tomorrow and i have my license..

  • Thats BS

  • ooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...............

  • Depending what state you live in, all laws are different, you have to check what fish are in season and whats the length and the amount your allowed to keep. It could be a halibut or a summer flounder which is the same as a fluke.

  • there dialogue involves talking about if its big enough or not. They have determined that it is indeed over 23 inches

  • @jaeforceone no way that is over 23 inches

  • is it legal to keep the fish

  • @indianfury711 As far as I know. This pier is popular for fishing.

  • @indianfury711 it has to be a certain size. It looks like a halibut the size for a keeper is 22''

  • @indianfury711 no its not

  • @indianfury711 of course it is, as long as it's a legal species to keep.

  • @indianfury711 This fish is an illegal fish and these people make all fishermen look bad.

  • Where is the pier exact location??

  • lol they're all too scared to touch the fish. its just a flounder

  • One of the men is actually trying to just keep this fish but his friend is suggesting that he should measure b4 putting it in the bag because you were filming. How do I know? Because I am korean...

  • good sized halibut? a good sized halibut can weigh up to 800 lbs. But, nice video.

  • yes a fluke not a halibut

  • How do you know if it's a halibut or flounder

  • you realise this is illegal to film this without their permission and uploading this on youtube

  • @sdthird10 No, they are in a public place on a public pier. It's perfectly legal.

  • @sdthird10 what an ignorant misinformed douche!! ITS A PUBLIC PLACE!!!

  • did it realy take them that long to reel that puny thing in?

  • thats not a good sized halibut its a baby, these fish can grow to 10 feet long and 7 feet wide 500 lbs +

  • who wheres there keys like that guy... is he a jail keeper.

  • That's undersized and illegal, good for a court date if you're caught.

  • califonia hailbutt has to be 22inch min and pacific halibut has to be 32inch min

not fluke not on our coast this is the west San pablo bay to be excact...

  • didnt look legal

  • korean not japanese.

  • Lol, the guys are bickering in (real translation) " Damn it, I told you to bring the tape measure, its a hefty fine if its not over the limit" and they start asking people and wander off looking for a measurement.

  • is it legal to keep a halibut as long as its 32 to 36 inches?

  • @Nevanator7 22inch or over is legal

  • its is actualy a fluke but nice fish

  • @AKwakIsAwsome It is actually a very small california halibut. You can tell by the shape, fins and the shape of the tail. It is were a fluke, the tail would be clearly rounded (convex) in shape, which the fins on this fish are not. Hence, the fins, shape and tail shapes let's you know it is a halibut.

  • they should of just cut the line...and released it... in a week the hook would of rusted out..

  • accualy it is more than 600 bucks. you can be placed in federal jail depending on the rarity and the species.

  • thats a small one.. thats a $600 worth of ticket there..

  • a little one

  • y were u filming them...

  • Because it looked interesting.

  • @newbirth35 i hate when ppl watch me as i fish

  • Bad

    the poor fish :-(

    CATCH AND RELEASE

  • Fish is good food. I have no problem as long as they ate it rather than just mounting it or something stupid like that.

  • I agree because you can mount a fish by a photograph rather than killing it!

  • @newbirth35 you can still mount it and keep the meat.

  • @newbirth35 even when people mount fish, they have to take it to the taxidermist whole.... at that point the taxidermist and his friends get fresh fish so it still gets eatin

  • @newbirth35 Trust me im korean, they are korean i know that korean dont mount they're if they eat it, not fillet it and throw away the heads etc, us koreanis will eat the whole thing other than the scales, guts, fins, tail etc. so this is a dinner for them

  • @newbirth35 release itttt!!!!

  • Oh...I don't remember where it happened. It was someplace I'd never been before. Somewhere in the East Bay in the San Francisco area is all I can say.

  • In the begining of the video you said you were at Point Pinole, ca.

  • Yes, you are right! That's where we were. :)

  • where was that and what did you use for bait

  • I have no idea. I was out walking on the pier and saw this and pulled out my camera. I don't know who the men are or anything about their bait. Sorry. :)

  • I think that was berkley pier, they use either live anchovies or any kind of shiney lures

  • It wasn't Berkeley. Somewhere north of there.

  • lol little halibut i just got a 32 inch 9 pounder lol on a lure!
