No the stock exhaust is setup to control emissions, better fuel economy and better everyday drivability.

Aftermarket exhausts result in more emissions, but give more high-end power (yes, 7000 - 8500 rpm).

Sounds amazing, but do you lose out on the low end.?

Oh, I don't own one. But, I lurk on the m3forums once in a while and those guys put up dynos. Apparently, it does not lose any low end (if the exhaust is done correctly and no leaks), but all the gains are at the top rpms.

Pure sex. I own a 6cylinder 2005 M3. Not the same. There is nothing like an 8 cylinder!
