Paul Cox? WTF? Saw Greg Mangus sing this in the USA(Nashville) was surprised they knew Frankie, he paid tribute to him, did, and acknowledged, Fankie's version of "He'll have to go" as well, bloody marvelous..........
I have followed Frankie from the middle 70s as I used to work with his now ex brother in law, and he was brilliant live, the concert in Glasgow city halls in 1978 was great with his best pal the big yin (Billy Connolly) in attendance. He fell ill in 1994 and was in a coma but he managed to battle back but can no longer perform his skills. He was always at war with his record company over musical differences and this contributed to less exposure, He was better thought of in USA than UK
Aye, one the world's top drawer blues/rock singers. Such a shame he's largely unknown compared to the usual big names, some of whom aren't fit to carry his jockstrap. Strange as it is, along with Dan McCafferty of Nazareth (who's a different style but up there too), Frankie is probably less appreciated in his own country than outside it.
the wee man started wi wan i the best voices in the world . looked at his hero,s and improved on it. well revered the world over. he sings from the heart not for effect. i know. we both went to the sacred heart of brigtin.. long life wee big man
@rexforth - well remembered . Jimmy Dewar was a fantastic singer who never received the recognition he richly deserved . Both Jimmy and Frankie were class acts with a similiar gritty rich sound to their voices .
@ScotRanger1960 Quite right . Saw Jack with Robin Trower last year in Glasgow . Was also lucky enough to see Jack in 1973 at Greens Playhouse with West , Bruce & Laing . Happy days .
@SPARKY53100 ...and they both played with Robin Trower. Frankie was in Jude with Trower but left along with drummer Clive Bunker. He co-wrote "I can't wait much longer" from Trower's 1st album.
Remember this when Frankie released it as a single and performed it on Top Of The Pops with The Frankie Miller Band. Still listen to it today. What a voice. Often mimicked but never matched. Keep on rockin brother.
Nice one man, I gotta thank you for your contribution to Frankie's music, one of the best on youtube without a doubt.
please view, enjoy and comment on my two latest additions, "The Rose" and Baton Rouge", both from the "Long way Home " album...... spread the word... cheers

Got into Frankie's music when I used to live in Edinburgh in the '70s--I never heard ANY r & b singer from the British Isles with quite this much soul, and I love Paul Rodgers, Eric Burdon, early Rod Stewart, Terry Reid. Check out his version of Lennon's "Jealous Guy" and you can see why everyone was comparing him to Otis. Guid oan ye, Frankie and keep getting well.
Frankie Miller is great. Just discovered him on You Tube. He sounds a lot like Delbert McClinton...who I love, and have seen many times live. Good stuff!
saw frankie play on th erenfrew ferry in the early 90,s what a gig i was right at the front as well still say it was the best gig i have ever been to th eguy is a musical genius, hope you get better frankie
I am a big fan of Frankie's and agree he was the best thing to come out of scotland - he helped me a lot in my teens when I went to all his gigs. I have managed to locate all his albums on CD but dont know where to get copies of any video's
Well it was billed as Frankie Miller's Full House and featured Henry McCullough and Ray Minnitt. He was introduced as Frankie Miller though he didn't speak between songs and had lyrics on a stand.
man frankie is still so cool regardless of his brain haemorrage i've met him nd lookd after him for a period of time, but he's not so well, but i can tell u fans that he's still tryna sing his songs and wears a pink ralph lauren top lol!
My dad played guitar on this and the full house album.. Frankie was and is still one of the best ever voice's to come out of Brittian (actually - the WORLD) God bless Frankie - Love Daniel
