Disagree on two comments- Firstly, you can compare anyone to Joni M,- but Jen's voice and music is SO unique in a different way than Joni's. Yes, love this cut- is a fav- but Pretending to Care brings me to my knees... Both are incredible songwriters and singers- have studied for decades- cannot compare. Joni is much more well-known, granted.

I can't see the point of your post. Both are totally different artists.  Jennifer has a better voice, but Joni is a far better songwriter. "Hunter" is a pretty great album.

Listen to the music. First I heard it, I thought it was Joni Mitchell. No doubt about it, this is a good son; just seems like a tribute to JM in musical style.
