  • Its beautiful

  • I saw this in Birminghan. It was amazing, best classical dance I've seen and so well done. People of all ages would love it particularly the young. It made me want to find out more about the original story, an interest my parents have been hoping I'd have years ago lol

  • My heart feel it is going to exploted, my soul become in silence and my mind become scare. This musical seem to be amazing. I hope Krishna give to me the oportunity to see it in Europe. Thank for sharing it with us.

  • Oh okay, thankyou 4 explain dat 2 me Radian1991

  • Wot do u mean by Understudy?

  • An understudy is a theatrical term for someone who learns the lines and blocking/choreography of a leading actor or actress in a theatrical play. Should the lead actor or actress be unable to appear on stage because of illness or accident, the understudy takes over the part. Usually, when the understudy takes over, the theater manager will make the announcement prior to the start of the performance.

  • Hello everyone. I was Krishna's Understudy...

  • whoa whoa.. amazing. Initially it looked a bit wired .. then the music got my attention then I started realizing the beauty in choreography, editing, and performance. truly amazing. thank you!

  • Thank you everyone for your comments. the production company is currently attempting to construct a tour in india by the end of 2008. So far an estimated 25-30 thousand have seen it - but this is a very difficult industry. With Krishna's mercy it can be once again revived in the uk after a couple of years.

  • Will this musical be making it over the pond to the US? I would really love a chance to see it in NY.

  • this was in Edinburgh i liked it a lot

  • The only qualm i had with it was that they told the whole story without bhishma

  • I went to see this, and i have to say Hats off to every1 behind it. They did a great job!

  • What a piece of work!

  • what is that music!? it's wonderful

  • Wow. Very beautiful...I'll have to check that out!!

  • But indeed if you are sticking by the real thing...it is great!!! I would like to see more of the musical..cheers!!

  • You are right about the Indian directors trying to be "Politically Correct". In fact I believe there is an animated version of Mahabharata [made by Indians] where the events are factually wrong! That is the reason I expressed my concern.

  • I dont know why this wories prashanthosur! Is it an impact of Mahabharata TV serial!! I feel no Indian director can make drama as Mr. Stuart Wood did. Its an Art where no centiment should come!

  • Where did the TV series come from?? I am just saying, as long as literature is not tweaked to please the western audiences its okay. The West must make the effort to understand it. That said, I believe that sections of the Western world is more honest in their efforts than many Indians. However, I have also seen some local plays where details are twisted to suit local Western taste..therefore I show concern.

  • But now that you mention, the TV series was not bad either...though I believe it was not comprehensive. But I believe it is extremely hard for anyone...anyone to direct the whole Mahabharata. In fact, there are countless Telugu movies, each about 3.5 hrs that concentrates on just one small event. For eg. The movie Mayabazar is just about the Abhimanyu's marriage with the daughter of Balarama [Krishna's brother's daughter!].

  • Please leave Mahabharata alone. Understand it in its true form... This does not look too bad...but the idea of "western" approach worries me.

  • I understand your concern but remember Mahabharat is meant for everyone it's universal let people interpret it the way they want but the moral will always be the same.

  • agreed

  • It`s amaizing in one word....I would like to know who is the director of this supernatural theme!

  • hi naboanande. thanks for your comment.

the director is stuart wood. he's been partly involved in a few west end productions. but he has dedicated the last few years on this project.

he spent a really good amount of time learning the story and how to apply the philosophy, culture, kathak dancing, sanskrit to make it authentic.

  • i'll buy a ticket to see that. :) Please come to Atlanta, Fox Theator.

  • Hooray for the Mahabarata! I saw this twice - the first time in Oxford, but I loved it so much I saw it again on it's last day in Leicster. I love the Shiva dance at the beginning, it rocks!

I hope they do bring it back in 2008!

  • they cancelled in Bradford! i missed by chance to see it!

  • ooo they should do a ramayan version

  • It is amazing i saw it in leicester!!! Hope they do another tour and i want to get it on dvd

  • This vedio infact the play looks FANTASTIC!, never seen a Mahabarat in a western style. Infact it would be more understanding for the current generation. Marvelous!

  • i think it looks really good

  • CALL ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER AND SHOW HIM THIS CLIP....THIS IS THE PATH TO A MAJOR WEST END SHOW!

HARE KRSNA HARE KRSNA KRSNA KRSNA HARE HARE

HARE RAMA HARE RAMA RAMA RAMA HARE HARE!

When can I audition for any extras or round 2?
