  • I really liked that you change a little bit of the chords. truly touching cover.

  • not bad at all! :) Could you send me the accords please? I can't read on your fingers...

  • LOLZ

  • Your voice is pretty unique, I really like it, you've done a nice interpretation of this song.

  • i like his voice

  • the more i watch this, the more ilike it,he has a talent there that at first you dont realize.

  • I agree

  • thanks gammypage, was feeling a bit lonely out here!

  • not too bad, you need to keep the vocals a little quieter though in the beginning

  • he is more of a talent than i first thought, just look at those arkward chord shapes! strictly for the dedicated jazz guitarist,if you are a beginner don't look,it'l put you off for life!

  • your version is nice, dont listen to anyone who comments badly they are stupid. STUPID!! it is simpler than jeffs yet thats what i believe sets jeff apart from all the rest, he was so deep deep deep deep like an ocean!!!

  • Listen to the Nina Simone version and you'll get where Jeff was coming from.

  • Jeff sings and plays with heart. Thank you for posting this. Beautiful.

  • i will stab you

  • hahaha, but seriously stab the singer.

  • I like your voice! Good cover.

  • this is great! good job.

  • I thought you did a great job...if I walked in to a pub/coffehouse and heard this, I'd stay for sure. Kudos!

  • hey people, dont forget buckley's version. bad cover, song too hard dude. and put your capo on the 3rd case, it would be easier

  • yeah ! i like

  • Lilac wine is impossible to cover, unless you have a voice like Elkie Brooks, or, Nina Simone. Nice try mate, but if I were you, I would'nt give up the day job just yet.

  • I agree with u, its impossible to cover.

  • Yes it is impossible to cover!!! especially after singers like Nina Simone and Elkie Brooks have done it.....

  • Nina Simone did not ever cover this song. Read history. Nina were already dead when Jeff came with his version.

  • You are amazingly stupid. Nina Simone, done this song in the 60s. Elkie Brooks had a U.K. hit with Lilac Wine in 79. Do you know what cover means????

  • Do you know what cover means, retard?! This song was written in the 50's, and first sung by Hope Foye. So Both Nina Simone and Elkie Brooks covered it, as well as Jeff Buckley. So slickwillie is just right, you morons.

  • Who are u calling a retard , RETARD? I was also covered by Eartha KITT

  • If we're going to talk stupid, it's "Simone did this," not "Simone, done this." People who live in glass houses should not cast stones. That said, I sure hope I didn't make some stupid mistake in this post. :)

  • looks like your grammar WERE already dead too

but yeah, he's right, jeff didnt write this song, yet it's unfair to say that just because one really cool dude like jeff does an awesome version of a song that it's untouchable...jeff's one of my idols but i know that his shit smelled just as bad as everyone else's

  • An interesting version. A tribute nonetheless. Good man. Hope you enjoyed sharing it with us. Keep practicing.

  • Sorry young man. All credit for trying. But if I were you I would stick to singing and playing for friends in the comfort of your own home.

  • Wow, you made the song your own. Respect!

  • This is pretty good. It's hard to cover buckley because he is so great... You've tried to do a more personal version, sometimes it works, sometimes not. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's deceiving. Maybe if you are a bit more implicated?

  • I prefere NiNa Simone and ElKiE Brooks version.

  • I'm sorry mate but this aint good, its just bland. The original is all about the vocals, you've lost it, sorry.

  • but that doesn't mean i didn't like it... btw!

  • Well Jeff based his more off of Nina Simone's version... and this doesn't sound anything like either...

  • I can only second what everyone else has said. Please put some more Jeff Buckley covers on here. I think your voice would work well on 'Lover you should've Come Over', one of my favourites, I'd like to hear your version :)

  • that was pretty amazing.

  • up some more :) i just put up a couple new ones, check em if ya get a chance. i love jeff buckley

  • in one word "great",i shall give it a try also, soon.

    grtz D

  • great voice!! keep on posting more material, please. What about "Hallelujah", from Jeff Buckley? Or some classical, like the Beatles, or even some Paul Simon stuff... I think you should be in satges, not in your room... Luck!
