i Think if you are going to have kids, regardless of how many as long as you can care for each one, and buy them everything they need then you can have 30 if you wanted.
I dont know why everyone is mad at them they live in a nice home they have enough money to pay for school, clothing, and food. Theres nothing wrong with having a large family. Kids are the key to happiness.

Speaking from the point of view of a kid who got stuck with the younger siblings I can tell you it sucks and I wouldn't do it again - I've been raising kids since I was 12.
my father wasn't able to pay attention to me and my sister that much. he did my two older sisters, because he wasn't in his 50's when they were growing up. My mother didn't care about me or my sister, that is why my parents got divorced when I was 2.
By the way, I know what it is like raising children. I also have been raising kids since I was 12. One of my oldest sister has 4. I have been raising her oldest since he was a newborn, now he is 10 and I am still helping out.
So she learned how to pass of responsibility to you.. excellent - hope you lost all your free time too. Mind you these kids are totally cut off from any form of reality - they wouldn't have the first clue how to be a normal child.
Age doesn't have anything to do with how much attention you pay your kids.

It's a sad comment on today's society that people think a family that is kind and patient to each other is abnormal or wrong! I'm not that patient or kind, but at least I'm honest enough to realize that I am repeating my parent's faults, and so I'm trying to be better, instead of trashing other people who have SELF CONTROL...which is what you need to be kind and patient. My point is...Michelle Duggar is around her kids much more than kate is around HERS. And the Duggars don't have TLC paying for maids, nannies, chefs, etc like the Gosselins do. Why don't you actually think of how Michelle's life was back when her older kids were young like her younger kids. I am pretty sure she had no help doing their laundry and all of the house chores. I have more respect for Michelle, because she taught her children right. They know how to cook, clean, work, get along with eachother, and have good morals. You probably don't see Michelle's kids sick is because she breast fed them. The longer you breast feed, the less they get sick in the future.

Parents have always passed their younger children down to their older ones. I know so many who do that. My father passed my sister and I to my oldest sister, because he had to work and do other stuff. He was a single father. My friend's mom passes the two youngest to her and her brother when her mom and father has to do stuff. Michelle doesn't completely pass her younger ones to her older daughters. They are just helping her mom out. Michelle is actually helping them out.
To many kids. I bet she hasn't stopped breast feeding in over 18 years. Leaking for 19 years and being sucked on for 19 years straight? I think not!

Speaking from the point of view of a kid who got stuck with the younger siblings I can tell you it sucks and I wouldn't do it again - I've been raising kids since I was 12.

my father wasn't able to pay attention to me and my sister that much. he did my two older sisters, because he wasn't in his 50's when they were growing up. My mother didn't care about me or my sister, that is why my parents got divorced when I was 2.
By the way, I know what it is like raising children. I also have been raising kids since I was 12. One of my oldest sister has 4. I have been raising her oldest since he was a newborn, now he is 10 and I am still helping out.

Age doesn't have anything to do with how much attention you pay your kids.
None of these kids get the honest attention they need to be truly well adjusted - they will all have big families hoping to make up for and get the attention they lacked growing up.

It's a sad comment on today's society that people think a family that is kind and patient to each other is abnormal or wrong! I'm not that patient or kind, but at least I'm honest enough to realize that I am repeating my parent's faults, and so I'm trying to be better, instead of trashing other people who have SELF CONTROL...which is what you need to be kind and patient. My point is...Michelle Duggar is around her kids much more than kate is around HERS. And the Duggars don't have TLC paying for maids, nannies, chefs, etc like the Gosselins do. The Duggars do their OWN chores........I think Michelle is a very good mom. She's very loving and patient and I wish I could be more like her, especially in the patience department! :)

ummmm....apparently you don't know that much about Miss Kate....she most certainly does NOT mother her kids 24/7 (well, who does, really...we can't ALL be around our kids 24/7) BUT in Kate's case...she has PLENTY of help paid for by TLC. Its no secret, google it for yourself. She has a personal chef, a personal assistant, a NANNY because she is always giving speeches, oh and she complains about laundry so much...did you know she doesn't even DO any laundry, either?? Just to let ya know. :-)

So I DO know what its like to do lots of laundry, cook big meals, and manage to get my little one in for his chemo treatments. Of COURSE you see her 'cook for the show'....All I am trying to say is Kate isn't as 'hands on' as you think. Why don't you actually think of how Michelle's life was back when her older kids were young like her younger kids. I am pretty sure she had no help doing their laundry and all of the house chores. I have more respect for Michelle, because she taught her children right. They know how to cook, clean, work, get along with eachother, and have good morals. You probably don't see Michelle's kids sick is because she breast fed them. The longer you breast feed, the less they get sick in the future.

Parents have always passed their younger children down to their older ones. I know so many who do that. My father passed my sister and I to my oldest sister, because he had to work and do other stuff. He was a single father. My friend's mom passes the two youngest to her and her brother when her mom and father has to do stuff. Michelle doesn't completely pass her younger ones to her older daughters. They are just helping her mom out. Michelle is actually helping them out.
