  • mi werld is afected by this ab i struggle wth it wch is a challinge -werld neds tu undrstnd wht we hav tu tolerate

  • never ever under estimate a person with autsim

  • your hild is a beauty.my son archie was just dx at 15 months ols he regressed after the swine flu jab.

  • THANK YOU for this video. My son has Autism. Theres still so much to learn. and so much to share. I linked this video on my FB page to share with friends and family that still may not understand just what autism is.

    Thank you!

  • and btw. I would never allow someone to "cure" me. it's a part of me and my personality. I like the way to perceive my environment.

I wish the society could get rid of their cliche and wrong pictures about autism and give me the chance (and jobs) to learn. but seems to be quite impossible.

and not all things of Aspergers syndrome are generally bad, why don't talk about the advantages?

  • too many speculations in there. not that there are a lot of potentially dangerous trace elements in vaccines, tap water, food and whatsoever - which may pose a problem for your health in the long run - but there is NO (once again: NO) proof that these can actually cause autism!

secondly, autism ITSELF can not be cured. depending on the intelligence of the person and the existence of an understanding environment around him/her can improve social skills and trust in others significantly

  • I have aspergers syndrome ( which, for those of you who don't know, is a form of autism ) and I can tell you guys straight up there are a lot of wrong " facts " in this video. .

  • did you write this song yourself?...

  • The song is 'Missing Pieces' by Mark Leland

  • Autistic kids have just as much imagination as anyone else, it's just different and less obvious. Perhaps they don't mimic telephone conversations or whatever, but in their heads they do. I know because I have autism.

  • the song is kinda sad... anyway... i think autism is a big problem... it deprives a person of their normal life... its just evil... thats what i think...

  • Does anyone have an answer to this?...If my son were born 25yrs ago when the statistic was 1 in 10,000, compared to 1 in 150-160 toaday, would he have autism?...just doesn't make since..it's too big of a jump in number for it to be even be better diagnosing of ASD through their infant checkups, and even teachers noticing the quirky or inattentive behaviours, even if it were mild..

  • look, no one truly knows when AS occurs. no matter if it is 1-150 or 1-10,000, i still call it a possibility.

  • I had silver fillings as a child, I am rh negative and had the rhogam infections, and the flu vaccine while pregnant and my son has had all his vaccines and guess what? He has aspergers autism! My daughter we dont think she does but we arent for sure yet.

  • Yes Its gentics its the damb murcury poisoning!!! my god whyt cant we start going green with vacinations!!! to many babys/ children/ familys are suffering !!

  • BEAUTIFUL SONG. TITLE?

  • fuck you !!!!!!!!!!!and i hope you die worst mother fucker!!!!!!!!, you ignorant piece of shyt! your even worst than autistic people thinking like that you dont deserve to breathe in this world sorry ass loser! your the one who is a disgrace not your son you idiot! eat lots of shit!

  • Yes. There are many reasons for having social deficits not connected with Autism. There are certainly commonalities connected with mental disabilities. And therefore, there are often commonalities with the therapies involved. AS isn't always passed down through the father, true. But the number of cases involved make the passage through the Mother very, very rare. Very similar to Fragile X syndrome, in that regard. Where we can SEE the actual damage to the chromosome. cont...

  • cont. As to Luke Jackson, beware of the conclusions drawn from his story. They would have you believe that AS, Autism and adhd are connected, with a similar diet treatment. All of which can be purchased at his mothers website.

Again, the main problem we're seeing with the lumping in of AS with Autism, and creating the ASD umbrella, is that we're seeing more misdiagnosis of AS, and creating some very messed up people as a result. This only acts to cloud the very real problems and treatment...

  • cont... for people who really suffer from AS. And just to note: Not all people who have AS, "suffer" from it, (I've worked with plenty of people who have though.)

This is why the conception of ASD is damaging.

    1. The evidence does not support it. and

    2. the introduction of the big money associated with the huge fundraising has contributed to much needless suffering, and confusion.

Just ask yourself this: with all of that money raised, have we seen a better treatment? cont.

  • About 20 years of deep involvement in the field. from the ground up. With particular interest paid to Autism, the pathologies and methodologies of "treatment". Most "treatments" are, basically, behavior modification. Either through therapy or meds. With few exceptions, it's a pretty ugly "industry". It's a very lonely environment, if all you care about are the people you help. Just remember, it's an "industry". Viewed in that context, everything must be questioned...many times over.

  • Interesting logic.

Yankee Doodle stuck a feather in his hat and called it macaroni. Therefore feathers are macaroni?

A whale shares many commonalities with a fish. Are whales fish?

The same can be said about Aspergers and Autism. Outwardly they seem to show commonalities. Yet the differences are profound. In particular regard to the pathologies.

Which begs the question, why are they combined under the ASD umbrella?

The answer is as disturbing as it is simple.

    Money.

  • cont. The truth is, if you can go on Youtube and interact, you're not so bad off. But I repeat, don't be afraid to ask the hard questions. YOU are what's at stake. YOU are the one who needs to know the truth about YOUR condition, whatever that may be.

    Don't be afraid.

  • cont. We're now really starting to see the results of Autism/Aspergers misdiagnosis. And it's not good. It's like being treated for cancer, when you have the flu. The criteria for a good diagnosis, is subjective at best. The results of being misdiagnosed are traumatic. The entire self-image is altered, maybe for life. Don't be afraid to question what you've been told by the "specialists". Most have spotty trainning at best, and hide behind their degree. Ask the questions! cont...

  • cont. This isn't just conjecture. I've had to help people cope with being "normal", after years of being treated for a disability that wasn't there to begin with. Like being treated for cancer when you're healthy. Almost all of them were diagnosed with ASD. Each person with a disability becomes a commodity for an "Industry" that needs to perpetuate itself, by creating more "commodities".

So that's the danger of giving in to the "crisis" mode of thinking. Question every diagnoses, in depth.

  • 1. Aspergers is the same as high functioning Autism, the only difference is that children with Aspergers do not have developmental delays involving understanding spoken language.

2.I have high functioning autism, not aspergers. I was diagnosed by a specialist that worked at my school when I was eleven years old.

  • Hello. Common misconception. Aspergers is not Autism. There is no evidence that the two are related at all. Autism shows no sign of a genetic trail. Aspergers shows a very strong genetic link through the father.

You were also diagnosed around 2000-2001 where "specialists" were making a name for themselves with a very misunderstood condition(s). Try this, find out as much as you can about your father. See if there's a commonality in social behavior. It may be well hidden, but worth a look. Cont

  • Actually my mother has similar to those found on the autism specrtum. She has OCD and is sensitive to certain sounds. Her OCD is a lot better now than it used to be, so I guess now she would just be considered a "neat freak" :)

  • There is in fact a cure for autism, and its love. And commenting on joeyeggy's comment, Some children can grow out of their aspergers, thats only before and during puberty. And while they can outgrow their aspergers, these children have to be able to be quite social, legally handicap if you will. It's quite sad my brother has autism and i'm planning on studying the autistic aspergers as i am a volunteer at a local summer camp with about 4 autistic children

  • those bastards fucking mecury aaaaaaaaaggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh BBBBBAAAAAASSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KILL BUSH AND ALL THOSE OTHER BASTARDS!!!!!!

  • The description of autism is bland. Even I relate to most of it at a certain level. -_-

  • I do not agree with you.

  • me either.

  • Thank you so much for valuable information. That is a heck of a lot more than I got out of my son' Ped and neurologist. They refused to diagnose my son and we were too much in denail to know better. All of my son's therapists knew, yet the docs refused to mention the word. Even when we asked directly we were told no. Now that I have experienced Autism I can spot a child with it a mile away. I am. sure the docs can too. I think that was criminal. Lisa

  • If autism is genetic ie: a 'predisposition to aquire autism' ALONG with an environmental factor causing the autism, WTH is this 'environmental factor' that is causing our kids to 'aquire' autism?. Studies have been done for years now, regarding genetics, but it is only now that studies are beginning to look into the environmental aspect.

  • Ravenslaves, Are you referring to studies of what multiple shots given in one day can do to an immature immune/neurological system?. Any studies done regarding multiple 'live vaccines' given in any one day??. Any studies done regarding what these vaccines can really do to an already overburdened immune system, regarding yeast etc?-There are no studies done regarding this, and it makes me livid, that the CDC, vaccine makers think it is a one size fits all when it comes to innoculation.

  • Cute Kid! But, please don't rely on the numbers and statistics. They're very flawed. The concept of ASD is also very flawed as it connects Aspergers as a form of Autism. Because both conditions share some similar symptoms. Many Aspergers children outgrow their condition. This is just one difference, there are more to suggest that there is no connection with Autism. I'm a professional in the field of Developmental Delays, and I've (almost) seen it all. Feel free to contact me if I can help you.

  • I am intrigued by your comment "many aspergers children outgrown their condition". This is the first I have heard of this. And why would you consider that aspergers is not a form of autism. I have a 5 yo boy with apergers. I highly doubt he will "outgrow it". But I sincetely hope you are correct. You are right about the shady data. There is no hope with the truth until the govts of the world unify their research. And I would be very cautious about JennyM's words. In fact I think she is clueless.

  • Yes, many children do "outgrow" their Aspergers. There are many "Aspy's" fully functioning out in the world (many are thriving) and are not aware that they have a "Problem". Social interactions are the #1 problem with people with Aspergers. I'm running out of space, I'll send a message.

  • "Social interactions are the #1 problem with people with Aspergers." But they're not the only "problem". People with Asperger's syndrome (like me) have brains that are "wired" differently and we'll never "outgrow" our own brains! I think what you mean to say is that people with Aspeger's learn coping mechanisms to be able to function is society. But just because we learn to cope and hide/suppress certain things doesn't mean our condition is gone.

  • You're right. It doesn't.

But as you learn to cope (hide/suppress as need be) you enter the mainstream of society, who spends alot of time trying to cope with the same situations you do. And as you may feel that your situation is different than most. Remember that each person has unique coping skills, and coping problems. If you have Aspergers, and are aware of it, you have the advantage of knowing the source of your own coping challenges. Now you can deal with them...cont..

  • cont... more effectively. And you may also be able to direct your "disability", into an ability with certain advantages (all depends on the individual). So when does a disability stop being a disability? When you can function in society, as well as anyone else can be expected to.

Judging by the news, that standard is pretty low. If you're not seen on the news in a mugshot, you're doing great.

One more issue that is scary. Proper diagnosis is crucial for all concerned...cont

  • cont... there is a dark side to all of this. It's the commercial side. With each diagnosis of Aspergers or Autism, someone is making money off of it. This is dangerous for so many reasons. We're talking about big money, and about ASD being an "industry". Think about that. An "Industry" needs product. That product needs to be manufactured. This is being marketed the same way ADD/ADHD was. (Something you don't hear much about these days.) ...cont...(last one)

  • (last cont)...So there is a rash of kids being diagnosed as having ASD, that clearly don't. This means being treated/medicated for something they don't have. If the child behaves/reacts badly to the treatment or medication, well, "it's because of the ASD. Isn't it?". You see this with the panic/scare commercials. "one out of every 166 (150, the number keeps going down) children are diagnosed with ASD". "Diagnosed" doesn't mean they have it. Just beware.

  • people with autism can not "outgrow" it. We learn how to interact and blend into nuerotypical society. I have adapted very well, many people I meet can not tell that I am autistic, but I have to really concentrate and work hard in order to appear "normal".

  • If you're typing this. You're not "Autistic".

If you have Aspergers, that's very different. Aspergers is not Autism. All evidence shows no link between the two. So far two people in a row have identified themselves as Autistic, when they're obviously not. What's going on? You've been victimized by a system who exists, just to make money, not help. It's like treating the flu with cancer drugs. Two syndromes that share common traits, but are not related. cont...

  • cont. Now Autism is not outgrown. Aspergers can be, in that, as you learn to cope with Aspergers, the social barriers decrease, And there may be a case for "Out growing" it as well. But here's food for thought: What is a disability? If you have a condition, and because of it, you excel in life, far beyond "Normal" standards. Are you still disabled? I'll give you an example: To be considered MR, you must have an IQ under 70, AND not be able to function in society. Cont...

  • cont.. ...So, what if you're IQ is under 70, BUT you can function in society, along with everyone else? That would depend on what society you live in, wouldn't it? Do you see how subjective it gets? The criteria for the diagnoses of Aspergers is more subjective than that. Mis-diagnosis is very common. When that happens, you then have branded someone as disabled. At that point, you have changed their entire perspective, as well as their support structure, and may have created a new disability.

  • what a precious boy you have there! our Son silas is 3 and in the process of being diagnosed, all they have said is he has developmental delays, gross motor delays speech.language disorder and sensory processing disorder, we go back in june and i am collecting videos to show his docs who he is..:) Thanks so much for posting this i REALLY liked it!
