If there is anyone to bring forth to the mind what the era of steam was all about , it was this one person and all his grace. Keep stokin those boilers Hank snow...
GOD , JESUS, I'M A BLACK WOMAN ...NEVER HEAR OF THIS..I HAVE AN AUNT THAT SAYS I'MMA BE LIKE HANK SNOW...MOVING ON. LOLOLOL THOUGHT I 'D LOOK IT UPON YOU TUBE. MY AUNTIS 76.
My Mother was close friends with Hank, my mom was a performer on the Calgary Stamped, and Hank was from Nova Scotia, Hank came to my house alot in Nashville, when I was growing up! He took my sister, when she was a baby on stage at the Opry!! I found some great old reel to reel tapes of Hank hanging out at our house, pickingand chatting, he called my Grandmother "mother", as he really had no family..Nice man!! Great funtimes
@savgal1211 What wonderful memories you have, I have loved his music since I was a kid, along with Elvis Presley, Did you know that he came very close to managing Elvis?
Hank Snow was one of my dad's favorite performers. This song brings back a lot of great memories from my childhood, listening to this record on our RCA Hi-Fi cabinet stereo. It was 5' long. Those were the days. Thanks for posting this & presevrving some of the best times of our lives.
@StevieB1362 you said almost exactly what I was going to say! Except, my dad jammed with Hank, back in the 30's, back home in Nova Scotia. It was well before MY time, and I'm not trying to be precosious, but it's a fact of MY life, and my dad played all Hank's albums all the time while I grew up. Wonderful memories. Thanx StevieB1362
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO PETE... THE FIRST PERSON I EVER SAW PERFORM AT THE AGE OF 8 IT WAS DOWN HERE IN LAFAYETTE, LOUISIANA.. I SAW HIM SING THAT SONG AND I HAVE LIKED THE GREAT HANK SNOW EVER SINCE
Hank's guitar player-Jimmy W., was murdered on the street in Nashville, around the same time era, that Stringbean & his wife, was. I belive that is him,on this video.
@rappy90 So what ? Hank Williams & George Jones did too. Alot of the singers & song writers lived out their ballads in real life. It cost George Jones some money when he missed a show, but that was his decision. Johnny Cash liked to indulge in other stuff. Luckily he got out of it alive. Lots of us enjoy a drink from time to time. As long as we pay the revenuers their taxes & don't DWI , What's the harm?. Some of us just like paying more liquor tax than others.
I prefer Elvis's version from the 1969 Memphis sessions, but this clip is worth seeing just for that suit! Now I can see where Gram Parsons got the idea…
@MyTrashman As a born and bred Newfoundlander, glad you enjoyed your time with us. Even though I work far away from her, I still go visit every year to see my parents. You're welcome back anytime, she's still as beautiful as she ever was :)

Jimmie Widener, rhythm guitar player--he once played with Bob Wills, worked for Hank for many years.

Kayton Roberts,on the non=pedal,steel-guitar,is awesome. He was featured on the RFD Marty Stuart Sow, season 2 . Kayton,is a genius on that thing.

@rappy90 What's his crime? Private matter and only a petty asshole in need of a life would mention that. Prick.
