As an avid moose hunter for 40 years I understand hunting but isn't it astounding to see the visible evidence of community and the sense of loss in the animals kingdom? Why would you kill that animal. And don't say to eat it That's not hunting, you might as well shoot at a barn. It's a living thing and has the right to live just as you do. Just the thrill of killing. WEAK.
Respect the meat that comes from this animal then it justifies the killing. But never enjoy hunting because once you do, you are just falling into the pleasure of taking lives.
This part of wildlife management is ugly buy necessary. He could've shot it again but more shots = more damage = more waste. Those hunts require orientation 2 learn the proper way 2 take out a wild bison. Some animals go out harder than others & certain situations have to be handled more carefully. back in the late 1700's and 1800's the population did drastically weaken to a total of about 1200 where it began close to 20 million American Bison remaining. but now we have ranches, farmers, outfitters, and various conservationists who have brought the number close to about 10k wild and another 35k as farmed and released animals between Texas and California alone.

If these are bison roaming outside Yellowstone then they are unfenced. These are, however, animals that have not been hunted in generations so they are slow to view humans as a threat presently. I have no problem with hunting and I would LOVE to go Bison hunting sometime but my only problem with this was that it seemed far too easy. part of the excitement of hunting is the chase. If I ever went hunting, I would do it old fashioned style. A Shilo Sharps rifle in .45-70 using high velocity Garrett loads.
If I might make a suggestion, hunt them in Canada with Tim Mervyn or Eric Grinnell. Tim's area is 10,000 square miles of wilderness and the bison get spooked VERY easily. This hunt on this video is about management as much as (or more than) it is about sport. BFC just doesn't get that as they've watched one too many Disney movies.
Hunting is the way humans have fed themselves since before we could speak. What is more humane a bullett or a twenty four hour trip through a slaughterhouse? Get rid of your cats go to a gym and get a life. Nice trophy btw.

I planted some potatoes, and lovely plants with purple flowers came up. After the plant died down I dug up the potatoes and I accidentally stabbed one with my garden fork. I felt so bad I vowed to never eat veggies again.
Some of these people posting on here really need to get a grip. Food comes from somewhere. Hunters have more respect than the slaughter house b/c they harvest their own food.

If these are bison roaming outside Yellowstone then they are unfenced. These are, however, animals that have not been hunted in generations so they are slow to view humans as a threat presently. In the years to come, this will change and a lot of money from license and draw fees will be generated for management and conservation. Don't buy the BFC propoganda.

I have no problem with hunting and I would LOVE to go Bison hunting sometime but my only problem with this was that it seemed far too easy. part of the excitement of hunting is the chase. If I ever went hunting, I would do it old fashioned style. A Shilo Sharps rifle in .45-70 using high velocity Garrett loads.

If I might make a suggestion, hunt them in Canada with Tim Mervyn or Eric Grinnell. Tim's area is 10,000 square miles of wilderness and the bison get spooked VERY easily. This hunt on this video is about management as much as (or more than) it is about sport. BFC just doesn't get that as they've watched one too many Disney movies.
