What arrangement is this? I know of a couple of other Miss Saigon arrangements for symphonic band and wind ensemble (Calvin Custer and Warren Barker's versions), but this one is something different, and I'm really curious about it. Who arranged this? Where can I find a copy of the score?

This piece is by Schonberg arranged by Shishikura. You haven't heard this version before probably because it's from Japan. :] Our band director Elden Seta, orders a lot of Moanalua's pieces from Japan.

Is it just me, the microphones or something, because the harmony from the French Horns throughout is barely audible. Yeah, because of that I felt that the overall balance is lacking.

Otherwise, job well done! Performed this arrangement of Miss Saigon before.. played 3rd French Horn.

I can't tell you if its the mics or something else but i agree - so its not your ears. Theres something strange about the french horns. But i also heard a clarinet out of tune at the beginning...

However the percussionists are very great!

i know that we come across arrogant and we apologize for coming across in any wrong way. when I was under the direction of Mr. Seta, he taught me how music is about being selfless and doing everything you can to share your emotion with the crowd... and i played every year for my grandfather who have loved the power of music...

and as i was playing this, as a clarinet, i was quite sad and happy at the same time because it gave me hope and the desire to be happy for being alive.

this band is okay...but they are the most arrogant highschool band i know!!! they think they are the band in the world..and most of there players arent even that good!!! they are okay playing. but their attitude towards music isnt good for the players individually.

that's not true. whoever this is. if you got to know us we're not arrogant.. our band teacher always teaches us that arrogance is the worst thing you can do. moanalua isn't arrogant. you just say that we're arrogant based on rumors. or based on our shows or music. we put a lot of hard work and dedicaion into our music. i would like to ask what band you are from? because usually mililani, punahou, kamehameha don't think we're arrogant because we don't think about that to them too.

i go to U.H. and i went to castle highschool. i depply respect the band, but u could ask most of our musicians and they would say that moanalua would come off as alittle arrogant. but i must say, you do have by far the best school band on the island, and in your age group.
