Regarding these rumors There is an open letter from Dale Thompson at christianmusic.about.com/od/musicnews/a/dtbridespeaks.htm Here is a clip "I am confused by the horrible vicious attacks that we have received on the Internet from a certain group that calls themselves Christians. I have not backslid, I have not joined a cult, I have not formed or started a new religion, I have not denounced Christ, I have never said there is no hell, etc, etc
Look at this "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:" (Eph 2:8) Jesus said - "You have not chosen me I have chosen you." You see many years ago He apprehended me and I have never once thought about going back. These folks that have asked radio stations to boycott Bride, and have sent out horrible things (all made up lies) are on a campaign to tarnish the name Bride.
For the last time I will say - I HAVE NOT TURNED BY BACK ON GOD, I HAVE NEVER SAID DO WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO BECAUSE YOU WON'T BE JUDGED FOR IT, AND YES YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN!Thank you for enduring this email. I wish I did not have to defend myself.
You would really think there was something more important than Dale Thompson out there that people could entertain their time with.
Bride is not a cult. The band still preaches Christ and him crucified. Dale's personal beliefs as they relate to universalism are not in the music, for the most part. Put it this way - it definitely won't hurt to listen to Bride.
It's sad that others are falling away...Roger Martinez of Vengence Rising is now claiming to be a Satanist and Athiest due to how Christians have treated him (I guess), and Gary Lenaire was asked to leave Tourniquet (which I assume had to do with his beliefs in some new age garbage, and a defection from the truth)...Please pray for all these guys, including Dale of Bride.
@bapticostalism I wouldn't say the "band" is a cult...but, I'm hearing that Dale is preaching Universalism, and that is certainly not of God...it is not the truth to say everyone makes it (although the Word says that God would that all would follow Him...He "wants" all of us to follow Him because He loves us)...otherwise, if everyone made it to heaven despite what they believe or do, then why are we here to be "tested"...pray that Dale sees the truth, and returns to it. So sad.
i watched their show in 2006 i think, in Brazil, thanks for comming here ^^ !!
