i think its obvious the favor he asked for her was to take Locke's body because Jacob, being the genius that he is, realized his rival was going to use Locke to gain entry to him. Secondly, he wanted her to come to the island to protect him as she and Bram and the others are his bodyguards.

Jacob told hurley to take sayid to the temple on season6 episode 1... Before hand in this clips asks for her help... Then she finds and arrests sayid bringing him back to the island! Soooooo I reckon Jacob has a big interest in sayid

It was a spoiler that leaked at the end of season 5 -- that out of a short list of people on the island, one of them was Jacob's child (and considering how Illana is so knowledgeable about Jacob, the temple, etc., and how much she cares about Jacob himself, people assumed that it's her) . . . however, I'm pretty sure that since that leaked so early, the writers changed that/aborted the idea. So it may or may not be true anymore.

I know. It was a spoiler from ages ago that got altered during the reshooting because it leaked out, and thus they killed off her character aswell. That's why my comment had so many thumbs up, because it was "going" to be true xD

She was, it was just rewritten because the spoilers got leaked and thus her character was killed off earlier aswell. The writers are funny like that :/ I'd look it up.

That isn't to say she is canonically btw, it's just what the writers originally intended to do. Another was revealing the name of the MiB to be "Samuel" which never met the final cut.

@sedredd Jacob probably knew that Ilana would die going to the Island as all he cared about was having someone to replace him and protect "The Heart". Ilana saved the candidates from MiB so she wasn't needed anymore.

Sigh. Look at my other comments... I know she isn't. It was a leaked detail during the filming of the first few episodes of season six and so the producers decided to not implement it and kill off the character. Why do you think it has so many thumbs up despite being wrong? It was true at the time. I just wish people would read into it and stop bugging me about it.

Notice Jacob is in black..and just seems menicing. Illana was probably hurt in The War. Jacob just looks...dark, and if he's dead, The Monster can take over his body too.

ok this looks like the same exact place that locke was brought to after he turned the frozen wheel and ended up in tunisia in episode 5x7. this is the same place charles widmore came and visited locke. i dont know.. but maybe widmore is the good guy, on jacobs side. widmore told john he had to get everyone back to the island.. and by doing that helping jacob. jacob did not resist is death, he knew he was going to die. he knew everyone else was back on the island to help is side. i need season 6!

@cuteangel469 It's not the same place at all, they were just two rundown hospitals, but that is where the similarity ends. One hospital was in Tunisia, and the other hospital was in Russia. Can't get much different than that!

@cuteangel469 Well, for one thing, they are speaking Russian. A doctor/nurse in a hospital in Tunisia wouldn't be likely to speak Russian. I also think (just going off memory) that just before this sequence, there was an opening shot showing the exterior of the hospital with a subtitle showing the location.

We don't know if that is Jacob in the past or Jacob in the future. After all, when Ilana gets to the island, it appears she is looking for Jacob in the Cabin.
