I have three RRAs in 223 and my next will be the 308 varmint. I will never own another ar platform rifle except for and RRA. To me they are the best on the market and the quality is top notch. And they stand behind their products if you ever have a problem, which I did once with a two stage trigger. Sent it to them and three days later had a brand new trigger. How many companies are gonna do that, no questions asked. Great guns.
thanks for the video,,good info,,clear concise and to the point...the music was killing me...felt like a a mr rogers class session on killing zombies....lol..hahahahaha,,,thanks again.
very nice vid. i have done research on some guns in .308 semi. long story short i ordered a rock river .308 varmint model with a 26' barrell. im sure ill love it and by watching your vid im that much more excited for it to arrive. thanks again
@handgunlover I stated in the video that the scope was temporary. It has been replaced. See my "Time to Camo Your Guns" video. That is a scope that I bought to mount on one of my .22 LR guns. But it worked just fine. In fact, I just shot a couple of 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards with a Savage .22LR using that scope. I have a lot of scopes and guns - I buy them in quantity. Many are cached. I buy the best quality for the money that I can. Having a few great scopes and rifles won't cut it.
I really appreciate this video. Thanks Friend! I can't say that I really go for the cheap scope route for a work rifle, but that in no way detracts from the value of the information given. Thanks again.
I recently painted my LAR 8 and hope to put up a video showing the camo job. Been wanting to camo a gun for years and kept putting it off. Finally bit the bullet, and did it. Came out OK and hope to camo more guns. Watch for a new video. KEEP ON PREPPING
I shoot .5 MOA groups with my LAR-8 with the 26" varmit upper - at 200 yards, not 100 yards. Les Bear is over priced. 99% of the population would never notice the difference accuracy wise between the two rifles. I would rather spend the 3k and get an LAR-8, buy a nice scope (Sightron SIII series best bang-for-buck by far) and a boat-load of ammo reloading supplies.
GREAT VIDEO !!! I love your calm style and the intel you have given is appreciated. I was going for a 6.8 possibly YHM or Barrett ..I really like 7.62..I have 3 but not in AR platform..I think you've changed my mine from 6.8 back to ole reliable 7.62 (my Nam waepon of choice) hooyah..thanks again ..GOD bless
@mrmezmureyz Thanks for the comment. I like the 7.62 because it is a great cartridge, and the ammo is readily available. I really love this gun and have a lot of fun shooting it.
You have a buddy who's a prepper and he stocks up on tennis shoes? Does playing sports really take up that much of his mind? Or is that just a slightly over exaggeration of how he preps?
BTW I'd say that impressive accuracy from an out of the box base model rifle. Awesome!
Les Baer makes a great rifle, but for the same price of just the rifle, I got a Rock River LAR-8, free float Daniels Defense quad rail, Trijicon ACOG 3.5x35, Smith muzzle brake and a folding bipod/ vertical grip.
@rednoseroxy LOL no I did not win the lottery. I will be buying 3 or 4 more Rock Rivers. The Les Baer is a great gun. They guarantee 1/2 minute of angle. However, the price is outside my budget. It is over 2x the cost of the Rock River. The shooting I did was with the Rock River and it was accurate enough for my needs.
@medpatch357 Thanks brother. I was pretty pleased with the gun - actually surprised at the accuracy. I would have been happy with 1 inch groups. I will have some videos at longer range coming up.
I hope you do a follow up on your Rock River LAR, as I am looking to purchase a tactical .308 in the near future. Thanks.

@garywrench101 I think you will really enjoy that gun. With the 26" barrel it should be a tack driver. Let us hear about your gun.

So @5:45 you say you're gonna buy 3 or 4 more $3k Les Baer .308 rifles?
Wow, really? Lottery winner? Really big bullshitter?
