This could go both ways. One way is that we could essentially remove genetic disorders from our children. Things like Downs Syndrome, hemophilia, and many others could be edited out of the gene pool. However, there could also be the development of "designer babies" where the parents could produce offspring that look and behave exactly as they want to (permitted said trait is genetic). Frankly, to me it is just another piece of technology. Humans will use it however they will.

We had twins through IVF in 2008,and we used a 23 year old egg donor....Due to my wife being in her late 40s,my wife is the birth mother,I am the genetic father,and the egg donor is the genetic mother......We have 2 beautiful boys ,2 years old.....And we gave the 8 frozen embryos left over to a nice Christian couple,they have since started a family with the embryos ...A win / win for all....

I'm sure the US was doing it 50-60 years ago as were the Nazis and other Europeans. Some of the physiques I see on women coming out of Eastern Europe CAN'T be natural.
There are many ways of doing it but the simplest is, add the DNA strands you want incorporated into the human into the embryo. You want a human with wings? Might take a few generations of modifying, breeding then again modifying the offspring but eventually, it would produce the desired results IF it didn't the first time.

Here's a question. Is it possible to alter an already born human at, lets say 20 years of age? Hypothetically, could we give a human a gene that would make them grow a new limb, such as a tail, after they where already born?

I think people need to up their strength in the gym, increase their awareness through meditation, energy and structure with qigong, and intelligence by understanding their own brain and carefully selecting what nerve connections they form, and develope new more efficient 'software' to run.

I'm sure the US was doing it 50-60 years ago as were the Nazis and other Europeans. Some of the physiques I see on women coming out of Eastern Europe CAN'T be natural.
There are many ways of doing it but the simplest is, add the DNA strands you want incorporated into the human into the embryo. You want a human with wings? Might take a few generations of modifying, breeding then again modifying the offspring but eventually, it would produce the desired results IF it didn't the first time.

I've studied the science on my own and threw a few ideas around on message board. Some of them have actually been used and worked!
So theoretically, eventually we will be able to do anything. There's a cleansing technique that strips the DNA from donor organs leaving them "blank" then the recipient of the donor organ is able to convert it by nature integrating their DNA......
Won't be long before organ rejection drugs are unnecessary.

Well consider a heart that would age at half the speed or even less, than the heart it was replacing. Not a good idea to be handing say a hundred extra years of life to just anybody.
I've seen experiments where they've both stopped aging in rats as well as reversed it. So consider what they tell the public and then what they keep secret.
As an inventor, designer and engineer myself, I keep a lot of secrets.

I really think genetic engineering us to be smarter would save the human race from extinction, I have an IQ of around 160 classified as being very superior intelligence, and its just sad to me how fucking stupid the average person is.
