  • Sweet set man. Great cover.

    And props to your dog!

  • goeie

  • Very nice cover man!

  • awesome job mate. you killed that fill at 2.18!

  • That dog is like 'WOW'...

  • The "traditional" reffers to the finish it means it is not a Brilliant Finish!! and it is not marked on any Zildjian cymbal.

  • What kind of dog is that

  • AWESOME DUDE!

  • I do this with my dog too!

  • check out my version of sex on fire, i start it on the and of 1

  • dope set. doper shirt

  • Loosen up your wrists lol

  • Good job

  • awesome cover!....great!... what drum set is this?

  • Nice recording, and quality playing, but if I had a tip it would be to loosen up your body, use less of your arms. In order to do this, angle your hand downwards, as the wrist moves up and down with your palm down, not with your palm facing outwards. This will give you much better flexibility, and allow you to move faster and more gracefully, getting all the beats you want. Trust me, try it!

  • i like so much your cover. nice groove, nice drum, nice recording quality, and so nice dog :)

  • hey is that a A Zildjian sweet ride traditional?

  • @The10mmTot i'm not sure about "traditional".....that term isn't marked on the cymbal. it's a 21" sweet ride. hope that helps.

  • @njdrummerboy626 haha traditional finish i mean. and its alright, looks like traditional anyways

  • Very Nice........

  • Great!!! The best drum cover of this besutiful song!

  • what was your mic / input setup?

  • i use audix mics, each one is close miced, 2 overheads and a room mic - 8 in all. they're routed to an alesis io 26, then routed into my mac via firewire. i use garageband as my DAW

  • NICE My favourite outta every cover... can you tell me what cymbals you use it sounds great!!!

  • nice snare man!

  • Dog<3

  • Your kit sounds awesome mic'ed up, Cymbols sounds great, and I love the different camera angles... Great all arround...What kind of ride are you using?

  • thanks for the kind words.

thats a zildjian 21" sweet ride

  • good shit! sick cover! you think you can post a tutorial of this? i am a beginner haha. you think you could break it down like on what counts to hit the snare then the bass then hi hat what count to hit the tambourine ? something like that? haha thanx!!!!!!

  • awesome cover !!!!!!!

    good drum kit!!!

    lol

  • I want to do that ! D: amazing cover, my respect for you.

  • what kind of fire wire are you using for the mikes like what is it called and how many inputs for the mics

  • Great cover!! Beautiful dog too!! Regarding Stunnaonflyrims's comment about the missed bass beats on the verse, I actually think you're are doing it correctly (although you should probably kick along with the snare notes as well). I've seen alot of drummers play the kick along with the bass guitar, but I hear straight quarter notes on the kick.

  • emence!!!!

  • nice cover. cool dog as well lol

  • awesome cover man, try to loosen up a bit and stay relaxed, it helps a lot :)

  • ZOMG ITS KKNYRASS

  • YOU are on fire! Love it (been posting these on my FB and some of my pals are passing them along :)

  • what count do the drums come in on?

  • the and of one.

  • Nice drums, your dog is well hard! My dog would be quivering under a blanket and whining if I played in the same building as her.

  • subscribe man :)

not begging :L just sorta getting the message out there :)

  • I think your dog loves drum sound...Right?

  • wow, i love it... the sound is just amazing... i wonder if u can do a slow night, so long cover?... :) by the way, nice dog haha, saludos desde Mexico :)

  • best

  • Ok out of ALL the videos on youtube yours is the closest to being correct. You missed a bass hit in your repetitions on the verses....

  • Awesome job! Love the audio and video. And obviously the tight drumming. Your dog rules. Nice to watch vids when you know the person enjoys what their doing, keep it up man!

  • Comment removed

  • awesome mate, thanks. the variation of camera angles really helps work out what you (and they) play. keep up the good work.

  • forgot to mention...my jack russel will not leave my bass pedal alone...if it moves it's game....Lab's can be so mellow as long as there's no ball...have a grat day!

  • very nice man...the only thing i would change is your snare...sounds a little low...great cover...solid

  • very well done and grate sound you know what you are doing . did you do it with finale cut and garageband ?

  • thanks for the love.

all eq, gate, compression, etc. that was done to clean up the sounds was done right in garageband.

  • for the recording on garageband how what kind of kit i can't just find the right kit for mine it's a ludwig but it doesn't sound the same in garageband

  • where'd you get the tabs for this song?

  • no tabs, just listened, and learned it.... although i don't follow the original version exactly, like hitting the edge of the ride instead of an open hi hat during the chorus

  • Gotta say. Nice cover. *****

However your right arm looks stiff.

Otherwise the song is played well

  • how many mic's are you using?

  • hi. for this recording, i used 8. 4 close mics on the drums, two overheads, and two room mics set about 15' from the kit. once the signals were in garageband, i did a lot of tweaking adding a little reverb to the snare, eq'ing and compressing most of the kit, and gating all the close mics. hope this helps.

  • cool.

  • you should like make a mp3. so people can put this on their ipod i would love to hear this on my ipod your drum covers are awesome

  • oo they look like the 7a

  • cymbal stands are PDP....very affordable.

  • omg are those the pro mark 7a new generation sticks?

  • pro mark 727 wood tip oak

  • how much the stands cost for the cymbals? and nice cover =] lul your dog's nose is just wondering around
