@chessbuff Hey, sorry for the late answer. I been at sea for some time working :p
We where restoring the old wall to the cemetary, it was almoste falling down, it was in such bad shape. And we had to dig a ditch to drain the water so the wall would not sink, and thats when we found the skeleton =)
@Terramusic0 My garden isnt really a graveyard. But there is a old cemetery right next to it, so its only a brick wall deviding my garden from the cemetery. In the good ol days people who commited murder and got executed or people who commited suecide didnt get buried in the graveyard, but right outside of it. I am sure there is more bones in the garden, under the house I aint that sure of
Hehe... Its more likley a young female who comitted suecide, since she wanst buried within the walls of the cemetery. Pagans and sueciders where not allowed to be buried in holy ground back in the days.
wow!!Now that`s interesting, I love this vid! Do you live in Norway? I live in Buskerud :D
I love Norwegian cemetaries, it`s a bit difficult to look at the oldest graves when it`s winter, I always soak my pants off with the snow..Ta kontakt med meg!!
I just find it very interesting ;) you see in the start that I am filming the ground, that was because I wasn't sure if I was allowed to film it :-p so I just had the camera on, and in case it wasn't allowed I would at least have a few seconds of view. But the archaeologists where actually cool with it
hehehe.. No, we where restoring a dry brick wall. and we found this when digging drains for the wall. look back some houndred years it was alot of killing :-p
I would be curious to know how age, gender and time period of the person. Afterall, it isn't every day you find a skeleton on or near your property :-)
True ;) Most lightly it is one of the first buried. So a guess would be the end of the viking age. but I will give you a message when I hear something ;)
