Just for the sake of precision. La Regia di Caserta, as it name indicates, in is Caserta, not in Naples, which is a totally different city.

Sorry Louisella,

this is important to me and all other people from Caserta: Caserta is not Naples.

So: "Wonderful Caserta Palace - Caserta - Italy".

Even if it has been part of the "Regno di Napoli" that included the actual regions of Abruzzo, Molise, Campania, Puglia, Basilicata and Calabria, Caserta now is a city on its own (province). :-) ...just as Palermo is Palermo, Naples is Naples, Bari is Bari ...Caserta is Caserta :-)

Beautiful!... What is not mentioned is that at completion Charles VII agreed that it was magnificent, but asked the architect Vanvitelli, if he could build an even more grand one! Vanvitelli,ever faithful servent of his king, said Yes he could! KING CHARLES VII HAD VANVITELLI'S EFES GOUGED OUT!!

Also, there wasn't any Italian unification. Reign of Sardinia (Piedmont) conquired the Two Sicilies. It wasn't an unification, but an annession.

In qualsiasi altro Paese europeo questa Reggia sarebbe stata considerata un tesoro unico e come tale sarebbe stata custodita e tutelata..Da noi invece è esposta al pubblico ludibrio amministrata e affidata ad un branco di cialtroni incompetenti, ad una masnada di fancazzisti ignoranti...Questo tesoro ci è stato lasciato da quegli stessi BORBONE che l'italietta arruffona continua a sbeffeggiare definendoli arretrati e rozzi..Che si sappia!
