i have a question i bought a different metal detector but it keeps making the noise it makes when it finds something and it wont stop

my garrett ace 150 keeps reading iron even though i hve 925 silver and 24k gold under it would it be the coil or need a new one?

My question is switching off Iron, does that mean iron is completely blocked out or just the tone with the Ace 150??
