I cannot understand why the best gothic/death metal band in the world turned in this directions. I don't say that this album is crap ...but let's face it ...it's not Crematory, it's like a copy band. I'm sad to see good bands and good music going in that direction. But i guess that no band can resist in the art section of music for more than fice or six albums. To bad ...

I share your opinion.. I love the old Crematory and iam sad that they are going this direction.... Iam dreaming of Songs like "For love", "Believe", "Temple of time", "Unspoken", "Caroline"... Believe was their best album...Crematory are a living legend ;)

what direction? be more specific what you mean. you think that including regular vocals on crematory's new cd is bad? i don't think so - just using growling grows boring because you can't do much with it. crematory realized that and started including regular voice, even voice harmonies. i think the new cd is very good.

Crematory has always done voice harmonies, so, there you go. . . And growl vocals are never boring, there's always something to do with it.

as far as direction, I don't know, I never noticed their musical style changing

1. i will check that information about voice harmonies on their previous cds. even if they had some they definitely didn't get as successful using them as on the new cd.

2. growling can give an interesting effect and contrast, and if you are extremely creative you can do quite a lot with it. however, most of the bands use it poorly. also the nature of growling makes it hard to sing veriaty of intervals in a melodic line and kinda misses the idea of legato singing.

eh sorry for the late reply, been a while since I checked things. I'm usually blunt and general, and not paying attention to details. Your right about how most bands use it poorly. From all I've heard I believe Crematory, In this Moment, and Cradle of Filth are great with it. Can't forget about After Forever and Sirenia. I believe Growl Vocals are a major part of what make some bands great.Can't say how many times I've heard an aspiring band just scream and hope it makes it.

I agree, especially with the second part of your comment. growling vocals are big part of metal and sometimes (if done well) bands can sound more original because of them. as you said though, many metal bands just pointlessly scream. greetings.
