@JSJAllDay No, unfortunately AT&T REQUIRES you to have a data plan when you use this phone. I called their sales team yesterday to order this phone and they told me that because I don't have a data plan, when I first activate it, it will add their 200MB/Mo. data plan to my service. So no, you need a data plan to use this. Hope this helped.

BUY IT! I got it yesterday and I love it. The battery isn't really that bad, but you will notice it going under 100% minutes after unplugging it. I haven't had to charge it much though.

@sillytennisfreaks i say the inspire 4g i have it been using it for a couple of monthes and no problems with speed or anything. i mean its already 4.3 inches why u need a infuse and plus the infuse looks like one drop break. i still recomend the htc inspire also at a good valuble price.

Just got this phone a couple of days ago. Ive seen the iphone 4..Ive used the iPhone 4. Its a nice phone dont get me wrong, but the inspire is better..If you like the front facing camera then get the iphone 4. The battery life is not so good on the Inspire, but I charge the phone all the time so it doesnt really matter to me.

I wanna tell you something, Quadrant scores mean nothing to a REAL user, they are numbers that mean nothing, and it(the app) made for every CPU and GPU, which is why you would get misleading results in this app, if the phone is fast in your hands, that is all that matters!

The user interface on an iPhone, is HORRIBLE. Trust me, horrible. Without a doubt I hated it. It is way way way to simple. A caveman could use that phone. If you want any saying in the customization of your phone, get the HTC Inspire for sure. It obviously let's you customize almost everything on the phone, with iPhone does not other than the homescreen/lockscreen. That is why I'm a iPhone hater.

Yes it costs money. $20 per month for 2GB of data. That is for ALL At&t smart phones, INCLUDING iPhones. Before you jump on that bandwagon, go into the ATT Store and play around with this phone for a while, see what you think.

@sillytennisfreaks I was stuck between the Samsung Infuse 4g and the HTC Inspire 4g. The infuse has better specks but the inspire has a better build quality and HTC sense is awesome. You can get either one for $49.99

at Target. I'm personally going with the Inspire 4g. :D

@moviemaking118 true but thats only because its a 1230 mah. if you go on ebay and get a 1600 it will be much better. but to make it even longer, if you buy a bundle package (a bundle package is a battery charger (does not need a cord) and 1 or 2 batteries). and switch out the battery during the day it will last much longer. its kind of tedious but you get more for your buck with the Inspire. speaking of the money, if you go to cartoys(dot)com you can get this fone for 29.99 with a new contract.

I just upgrade it today and its pretty cool and confusing. I have 30 days try out trail. without the 2 yr contract the phone going to be $599. with 2 yrs contract the phone are $100 but it require internet serving on your phone. $15 a month for 200mb or $25 a month for 2 gigs.

I just got this. A feature you should point out is the ability to transfer data from your older phone to the HTC Inspire via bluetooth. Just did this with my iPhone 3GS and it worked perfectly!
