It sure does, you have way more control over the sound settings then any mp3 player i ever seen, you have control over the bass' treble, and balance, if you have good earbuds you will get much better sound then the itouch.
I only use my Sansa clip for music.. Is there any reason to get Rockbox just for music playing? Does it increase sound quality or battery life? How does the EQ compare to the stock EQ? I carry an iPod touch with me at all times so I could care less about the apps and games that rockbox provides.
@danpluso I won't answer to all your questions. But I found interresting your very first question AND the fact that me too I have my iPodTouch always in my pocket and use the Sensa for music. Simply for music, unless you're very "picky" for the sound, no real plus value for Rockbox. But MAJOR things I like is the bookmarking when listen to podcast. When the MP3 has two hours long, the iPOD could only remember ONE position when you get back to play the track and even there, you need to go in...
@danpluso (end of the other comment I wrote)...and even there, you need to go in iTunes and set the property to remember last position. But with Rockbox, you may set quickly and easily a few bookmark in the file you're listening. So if during a podcast you've spot few places you want to-reslisten to take in note later or or to extract sound clip later, that's something Sandisk (and Apple and many others) don't have. But for pure music listening, well, me, I would have stick to original Sensa.
