What the prosecution needs is to prove reasonable suspicion not doubt. Any suspicion of impartialtiy should lead on Corona s ouster. The defense try to make it as a criminal court but it is a lie. Pnoy may be putting more emphasis on the efficiency and effectiveness of the projects but this hold up even clean contracts. He's got the projects that have not been released for bidding. Pnoy should balance his focus not just on his anti-corruption goal but start spending to stimulate the economy.
The fact is, 2010 was election stimulated economy that rose to 8.4% then down to 4.9% in 2011. Blame it to lower spending and overly cautious administration. True fact is,Pnoy generated gains ang big savings for the govt but this slowed down the economy. @joemarl Like I said, impeachment trial must be the last resort but not as a primary option to solve this issue. If this is merely just a gesture of retaliation, then it is not right to conduct a trial against this person that some say "corrupt". Anyway, we should just accept the impeachment trial. Diyan na e. Let every Filipino know that its the CJ not the Supreme Court's name. I fear that it will be a culture in the politics na basta na lang mangimpeach kahit premature trial due to publicity.
When can a computer-generated data be admissible as evidence in court? These can easily be fabricated if not concocted. Are these the strong pieces of evidence that the prosecution panel is boasting? They should study their law. Aren't these representatives ashamed of themselves? They are tasked to pass laws yet they did not know their law? How come they have been voted by the people.

@joemarl The prosecution said they were ready to present an evidentiary materials on article 2 and tomorrow they will be filing a written manifestation regarding the order of presentation of evidence for the other articles for impeachment. These evidentiary materials were computer generated documents. They may be on a security papers and with a bar codes but the court can not accept it bec. under the rules of evidence, any documents presented in the courtroom shall be and must be authenticated.

Furthermore, most justices are in-favor for the current president and despise the previous one. Tsaka so much with the midnight appointment, it has been upheld by the SC presided by Puno. Can we not move on? People keep on dragging this issue and I don't think that should make a bad person. The appointment was in accordance with law. In view of the CJ's important position, the prohibition should not apply to him. With only 14 justices, getting a majority would be difficult in case of a split.
One more thing... Sa midnight appointment pa lang hindi ka na maka-move. It has been decided, so patay na dapat issue na yan. Anong assurance na if this impeachment trial concludes you would concede if the court acquits the CJ? Malamang you'd be complaining about the midnight appointment na naman? For less arguments; to set the record straight, the appointment of CJ Corona by FPGMA is not the reigning argument here in the impeachment trial. It does abide with the constitution. It does not violate any rule of the land. It only violate a social norm known as "hiya". Impeachment trial must be the last resort however this is the way our stupid politicians to pacify what some say "personal matters" so that it would hasten whatever they want to do. I can say if impeachment is the way then it can be a solution provided that there is no interest or impulse decision whatsoever. It will be a political crisis and what I fear most is that this would leave another stain in our tainted government and will possibly be a perverted culture in our nation's politics.

What the prosecution needs is to prove reasonable suspicion not doubt. Any suspicion of impartialtiy should lead on Corona s ouster. The defense try to make it as a criminal court but it is a lie. In this case “measuring” of how true/valid the evidences presented against Corona by the prosecutors. @joemarl Like I said, impeachment trial must be the last resort but not as a primary option to solve this issue. If this is merely just a gesture of retaliation, then it is not right to conduct a trial against this person that some say "corrupt". Anyway, we should just accept the impeachment trial. Diyan na e. Let every Filipino know that its the CJ not the Supreme Court's name. I fear that it will be a culture in the politics na basta na lang mangimpeach kahit premature trial due to publicity.

When can a computer-generated data be admissible as evidence in court? These can easily be fabricated if not concocted. Are these the strong pieces of evidence that the prosecution panel is boasting? They should study their law. Aren't these representatives ashamed of themselves? They are tasked to pass laws yet they did not know their law? How come they have been voted by the people.

@joemarl The prosecution said they were ready to present an evidentiary materials on article 2 and tomorrow they will be filing a written manifestation regarding the order of presentation of evidence for the other articles for impeachment. These evidentiary materials were computer generated documents. They may be on a security papers and with a bar codes but the court can not accept it bec. under the rules of evidence, any documents presented in the courtroom shall be and must be authenticated.

Furthermore, most justices are in-favor for the current president and despise the previous one. In addition, during decision making of the justices, though CJ Corona was the last to vote over the regulatory case of FPGMA, it was not a deciding factor; the majority outweighed the minority by 8-6.

Verification is indeed fatal but jurisprudence says that the Court can set aside procedural defects in the interest of justice, and that's how I see it. Tsaka so much with the midnight appointment, it has been upheld by the SC presided by Puno. Can we not move on? People keep on dragging this issue and I don't think that should make a bad person. The appointment was in accordance with law. In view of the CJ's important position, the prohibition should not apply to him. With only 14 justices, getting a majority would be difficult in case of a split.

For less arguments; to set the record straight, the appointment of CJ Corona by FPGMA is not the reigning argument here in the impeachment trial. It does abide with the constitution. It does not violate any rule of the land. It only violate a social norm known as "hiya". Furthermore, the prosecutors argument is merely the alleged ill-gotten wealth of CJ Corona and other evidences not yet presented.

Impeachment trial must be the last resort however this is the way our stupid politicians to pacify what some say "personal matters" so that it would hasten whatever they want to do. I can say if impeachment is the way then it can be a solution provided that there is no interest or impulse decision whatsoever. It will be a political crisis and what I fear most is that this would leave another stain in our tainted government and will possibly be a perverted culture in our nation's politics.
