hi Paul, to put a range of port in one vlan the int range command does not work in config mode in 2950 switch. could you please tell me how to put rang of port in one vlan?
hey everyone i have a question. is it obligatory for EIGRP routing to put a loopback ip? plis im getting into this world and i dont know much about it. sorry for my bab english i don really speak it. Dominicano. Thanks S
@itikabc There is no need for static route settings. All 3 routers are on the same network which is 192.168.1.0 . If , for example, you change one of the above routers ip address to 192.168.5.1, then you would need to include static or dynamic routing protocol.
Mr Paulbrowning, thank you so much..very systematic, step by step explanation..i had a whole host of problems with my trunking and vlan configurations..i followed closely every second of this video.and was able to rectify every single mistake i made..thank you so much once again...=)
ssh was enabled , i even changed the port on hyper terminal to 23 , it was showing this welcome message : "SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_4.7p1 Debian-2" and nothing else , no command line ! i pressed enter a couple of times but still nothing ? i set the protocol version of ssh to 2 and also the port to 23 on the router , but still nothing , ///> but i was able to connect to it with putty , telnet and ssh both were working , but hyperterminal didnt work for ssh , maybe im missing sth ! thanks
hi again , ok, probably should have left some punctuation marks , couple days ago you uploaded a video which showed how you could use hyper terminal to connect to a cisco router
well, it is possible to connect the cisco router via telnet , but i tried to conenct via ssh but it just didn't work, where am i going wrong ? cheers
hi paul i believe it was you the other day posted a vid about hyperterminal i wanted to know whether if it does support ssh as well ? telnet works but for ssh it doesnt connect wheres the problem ? thanks :)
Hi Paul, and thanks for the viedo.
I did the same but when I connect the two ports together they show orange light then shout down!!
I got the following msg:
Received BPDU on port Fa0/1 with BPDU Guard enabled. Disabling port.
any suggestion

Oh,
you have to permit SSH on the router. I will have to check on that. I do have a SDM video on YouTube with the commands.
