That still hasn't been confirmed but when Lelouch killed Charles, he obtained immortality (POSSIBLY). Also, The 3rd season takes place before R2.

It's going to take place in a.t.b 2017 and it's going to be about a unit from Area 11 that was sent to the European warfront (which is where the season takes place) to rescue a unit. So basically, while they're in Europe, they're going to be seeing whats happening in Japan and having their own crazy shit happen.

In all honesty, you could've done better. The timing could've been improved, you could have used better footage from the actual anime and not the usual theme song scenes, and most of these scenes are from season 1, should've used more of season 2 as well.

@kaixuruha Lelouch dies at the end of R2, the series writer stated so himself: "...while some may regard Lelouch's end as a tragedy, he too likes to think of the ending as a happy one because Lelouch created a better tomorrow for those left behind." He basically says Lelouch did die but doesn't consider it a meaningless end. The new season of Code Geass will focus on E.U soldiers, seeing as how the E.U fell in R2, they're probley resistence, kinda like Japan's Black Knights.

In R3 Lelouch is ALIVE!! He doesnt really die in R2. R3 is supposed to be about after Lelouch supposedly "dies" and creates world peace, peace doesnt last forever so therefore war breaks out again. And that is what R3 is about. It takes place in 2017. So there IS a R3, only they have not told us when the release date is!! Google search it there is an official Code Geass fansite and they have the details!! :D I for one cannot wait till R3 comes out!!

The so called R3 does not have Lelouch as a character. It is called Code Geass: Renya of Darkness, and is set in the Edo era. Where C.C. contracts a boy named Renya. But as far as I know it is not certain if it becomes a anime or not.
