@4wheelermaniac500 it depends. i have a 98 z71 and i fit 285/75/16 (33x11.50) on it just fine and didnt have to do trim or anything. They do rub only at full lock though, so its liveable. but if your going to go alittle wider say 12.50, you might wanna do research or trim the fenders alittle. but you should be ok

SWEET TRUCK! What kind of hitch do you have? I like that it isn't a big ole bar hanging down like from the factory. I have a 2000 (same body style as yours) 2500 crew cab short box 4x4 with a 2 inch lift. running 33x12.50's with no issues.

It doesn't hurt it but you'll probably want to get an alignment afterward because it changes the angle of your control arms

Hey I just wanted to let you know that you could fit 33's under a 2 inch lift... Especially if you get aftermarket wheels with a wide offset. I had a stock stance and had 32's on my old silverado. I have a 3 inch lift on my 98 now and have 33's that clear easily on the stock wheels.

Very little if any. My wife and I picked the truck up about 500 miles away, both drove seperate vehicles back and had to fill up at the same time the entire way back. She drove an '09 Pontiac Vibe. I'm not sure what the stock mileage was but I'm sure if it has changed with the new tires and lift, it wasn't very much at all.

Its still a good truck, but the paint is going bad on it. I don't have to money to repaint, jack it up, etc., and in Georgia there are like 900,000 of these, so it dosent stand out. Only good thing is the pipes on it.

this is one of GMs best trucks 1995-1998 I have one my self with a stock suspension 5.7 vortec those trucks can pull anything and go in some bad ass mud holes stock but try to keep the engine from getting water in there there is a switch/relay that if it gets wet it won't crank

these trucks are the best trucks gm has ever put out. 5.7 vortec v8 under the hood that could smoke any other factory truck on the road, im so glad i can say i have one. only bad thing is they quit putting engines that big in trucks they say it has to much power.

The 6.0 and 6.2L engines they put in the newer trucks make between 350-400 HP and more torque as opposed to 255/335 from the 5.7. Even the 4.8 makes more horsepower now, but less torque than an old 5.0

the 5.3 vortec makes 315 and 345ft lbs of torque. same engine as the LS1 but 3mm smaller bore with higher flow heads

I agree with ya on that trucks from the 90s were tough. I used to have a 97 F150 but wrecked it, had 230k miles on it. Got a 2000 Silverado Z71 to replace it and to say the least i'll take my chevy over the ford tows the boat so much better even with have a 4.8L

DOUCHE2000, the 454 makes 230hp. The 350 makes 210hp. THAT'S A WHOPPING 20!!!!!!! A 350 could make that much power with a couple of bolt ons, plus it STILL has the reliability that the 350 is know for.

Depends on what vehicle it was taken from/what vehicle it came from the factory with. If you, or the person posting under your name truely does have the aforementioned GMT400 platform one ton (3500) then he would be pushing 365 hp with 415 ft lbs from a GEN V Vortec EFI 7.4L. I was referring to the factory rating of the 90-93 454SS trucks. I stand corrected.

I would go with straight pipe, but it depends on if you wanna run true duals or no cats, Ive got a buddy that has true duals w/ no cats and 2 small glasspacks, its loud as hell.

yeah man I got a 2002 Z71. The 5.7 and the 5.3 Vortec engines will last a hell of a long time as long as you take care of them,Had a 97 with 358,000. Sold it and the dude still drives it today that was 2 years ago.
