I had an 88 Comanche Eliminator with the 4.0m 5 speed and 3.55's I ran 16.00 at 88mph. Not bad for a stock sixinarow...Mine was rated 177hp.

@tryleo No, I have a 2000 Cherokee and it has the same sound. It's weird, but they sound supercharged, all of them...wish they were!!!

with a good shift, you can maybe get 6.80 seconds from 0-60, i believe that jeep has it, my 1998 jeep wrangler 4.0L can hit 60 at about red line so you probably wont need to shift to third

You "fail". Its a 4.0L Inline 6 that makes ~120HP. Its an old design, back from the 70s in the old CJ jeeps. It is a fantastic engine though. Nearly bulletproof, lots of low end torque. You also forget this is a brick. Jeeps are NOT aerodynamic.

you got that right. parents had 3 grand cherokees with the 4.0 inline 6. all lasted with over 100K. it really is a bullet-proof engine. it can take a lot of abuse
