  • The best part starts at 6:20.

  • We played part of this for our High School marching band who(BMR) this pasted season(2010). Such an amazing piece. ♥ I want to play the whole thing. These kids are amazing. I'm in middle school(junior high) and our back would never be able to manage that!

  • 原來七年前的學長學姊在樂團是這樣哈哈

    跟我們現在完全不同

  • Sounds a little bit sharp. Lovely winds and percussion, but the full version with the strings sounds better. Saint-saens orchestrated with strings for a reason XD sounds great overall.

  • We are playing this for our band. It's so hard to play for clarinet! Fuck.

  • @hotpink8237 follow the bassoon. there are many passages where the clarinet and bassoon are together, and 2:11 you are with the harp. other than that bassoon.

  • ya!!!! a boy representin piccolo!!!!! all right!!!!

  • we played this song at a state compatition. not as well but it was still better than any other band there could do, and it was harder than any other piece there. and we got third =/

  • Wow I did this piece as the first movement to my marching show in high school i wish i could of played the full version

  • Lovely flute and oboe playing. The whole band was excellent. and the piccolo wasn't to terribly out of tune, perfect in fact!!!

  • Go Asians!

  • Oboe rawzks... =)

  • Its not as clean as it should be, but i think that's the recording or it could be that they're 12-15. I don't know and I don't care. It's super!

  • Woah, this is extremely well done. Those kids are insane. There is a slight lack of passion I guess in this piece, but still well done.

We're playing this in my band now and these kids are liek 13-15 where my schools like 15-18 and theres people in my band that just don't care so its annoying to see this kinda XD

  • how you know they do not have passion for the music?, maybe they are exhausted from playing too well. this is amazing, I think you agree with that.

  • Oh God, I know how you feel. I wanted to do this piece in my high school (Of course I would be a jerk and steal the oboe solo....anyway) but with the lazy people in my wind ensemble, it would probably sound like dying ducks....

  • the kid who plays the piccolo looks eleven!

  • pro camara work

  • how old are these kids? they did a really nice job!

  • it was a competition for the group "junior high schools" in north Taiwan----> hence those kids were 13-15. ; )

  • I love the version that you played. Very very well played. By the way I love the video-graghy too.

  • WHOA lol its difficult tounging this on a clarinet....lol...yall are good

  • whoa they make it sound so awesome!our marching band is doing bacchanale this year!yeah patuxent!

  • the oboe soloist in the beginning had a little finger slip but hey, i've played that oboe solo before and it's not so easy :P

they're all EXTREMELY good, esp considering they're only junior high students.

  • I'd wish they would do this at dutch schools. But no. I did play violin in the orchestra of 'North Holland' and I was 16 when we played this lovely piece. However, own clothes, no uniforms :(.

  • やっぱシンバル遅れるね

  • Cannot catch what you mean since cannot read Japanese. While thanks for visiting

  • If I'm not mistaken, I guess he/she is saying:

"I guess the cymbals came in late (late playing particalar note)."

  • @bobomusic google translate man

  • @bobomusic blackcacao said the cymbal is out of rhythm

  • wow...

  • Yap...

  • these are junior high students? wow, i'm impressed! we played this piece last year with our percussion ensemble.. you should be proud of these kids. great job!!

  • Yes. They are only junior high. And sure are pround of what they are performed. Thanks !!

  • @BANAB89 that would be awesome as a percussion ensemble!

  • Thanks !!

  • Holy Crap, I'm speachless!

That had to be the best I have heard this piece. My school did it last year, and it kicked our butts sooo bad. It took us so long to get it at least decent.

I especially like the speed they took at 6;20 for the runs. it was a nice change from the original. hopefully the judges didn;t know that that part is usually taken like 15 beats slower. (I liked it faster anyways! =p)

    AMAZING!

  • Thanks ! They are practise so hard to get the speed run.

  • omg this is the best i ever heard it!! we played it at our all district area band. but we had the clarinet solo. is this a high school band??

  • They are junior high school student.

    Thanks !

  • This was done sooo incredibly well, it's unbelievable. The castanets were dead on, as were the timpanies. I really hope you guys did well in this competition.

Where about was this? I would assume somewhere in Taiwan? Or am I wrong?

  • Yes. They are junior high school student in Taiwan. thanks

  • I like it better with full orchestra.

but you guys did really great! and loved it!

  • Thanks for your encouraging !!

  • haha my middle school orchestra is playing this piece. not too difficult of a song, but deffinately took some work

  • i am actually playing this piece right now in our concert band. i noticed that the cymbals were a little behind in the beginning. but then again it is quite hard to lift those big things and move that fast. tympani sounds good too! and i love how its a girl too!! at my school any girl that can play timpani is a goddess!!! haha. funny story there actually. this piece as it goes on actually is a lot different from ours.

i really like how it was performed though!! good job.

  • Thanks ! And bet you will have good perform on this !!

  • This is great. AND TEENAGERS ROCK. Kansas city youth symp. IS one of the best, and we are playing this song. AND IAM 14

  • Cheers !!

  • Thanks too !!

  • Fantastic performance! I personally prefer the piece with strings, but this was also well-arranged. Bravo.

  • Thanks for your encourage for these teen-age kids.

  • My school is doing with strings. I prefer strings better since it looks alot of interesting for the audience to see the bows move up and down lol. But this performence is great.

  • Thanks for the encouraging for these kids :))

  • Thanks for the comments.. And yes, these kids are only teenager around 14-15 years old kids.
